Not about these 2 but I suspect that won't hold true 100% of the time going forward

I remember looking it up awhile ago. The last in season extension he gave was Josh Sweat in 2021. Things could always change at any time but it feels like a philosophy he’s sticking to.

What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

I think this is just Howie getting a player he liked at one point for a cheap look

Bc he is very talented. Great trade

Yup a lot of assumptions and over thinking.

He just significantly upgraded Anias Smith for practically nothing.

You no extension theory is one I’ve been pimping for a while. Give Cincinnati a 3rd that can become a 2nd if he does exten.

Always was and remains a terrible idea

The point of the CJGJ trade was cash and salary cap. Howie traded him to later pay Jalen Carter.

Its the reason Goedert coming back was not a sure thing (he took less money)

This is a nice roster coming off 2 SBs in 3 years and Howie was preparing for what he has to do going forward.

Metchie is just a guy. He's not quick, he's not big, and he's not fast. I get swapping the 2 players. I don't get giving up draft capital.

I agree with @schuy7 the pick swap isn’t giving up any meaningful Draft capital.

Eagles made two trades before the Sixers have signed Quentin Grimes.

If this move means a Darius Cooper cut on the final roster, I am not a fan.

Why? Serious question.

Unless Metchie signs for cheap, neither will he

Any relation to Frank?

Don't really get this trade. Maybe there's a follow-up trade coming.

If he doesn't sign for cheap then the Eagles will likely get a comp pick back that they wouldn't have otherwise so there's that

Metchie feels like the clear no. 4 to me. He's better than Wilson, Ainias, Cooper, etc.

I've been accused to making Madden trade ideas, but I love to look at the players as assets. Right now, both Metchie and Dotson are on expiring contracts. Dotson isn't giving you more than 20 catches this year and there are teams out there that still might view him as WR2. Can you get a 3rd back for him? Metchie comes in and replaces his production. You keep Cooper, Wilson and Smith.

Expensive and short sighted. Old overpaid talents don’t fit the plan. Its spazzing and eating the marshmallow

Wilson is a role player who is essentially WR/TE. Probably a better blocker than Calc or Granson

I suspect the Eagles will only keep 2 TEs and go heavier at WR. Granson or Jenkins will make it to PS

Wilson TE3

Ok. That is another discussion. It's disrespectful to say a dude who played well in the biggest game hasn't done anything to deserve being in the top 3 as of today.

Wilson who dropped a beach ball? Guy who has been on the team an hour? UDFA who has never played a snap of regular season football? Stop.

The Texans drafted WRs in rounds 2 and 3 this year. They love Collins and like Dell. They did not really have a place for Metchie.

This is more taking a guy off their hands and giving him a shot based on some things you like and less about not liking Johnny Wilson or Jahan Dotson.

Metchie is auditioning for WR 5 or WR 4 if Mitchell is going to be TE 3

Howie reads the EMB.

Maybe. Hard to say. Will Eagles spend $3-$4M on him with all the money in Smith and Brown? Because that likely isn’t comp pick worthy

As you said maybe. Depends on how things go this year. Lots of variables

And i was shocked when he caught it bc he stinks. No one played bad in 59

One game is an anecdote. I prefer data
