There were, but the talent of Slay, Rodgers, Coop, QM, and CJ was higher than what they have now. At edge they also had Sweat and BG with Hunt and Smith behind them. They can't have everything every year, but Howie got too cute.

It's close even with the holes at CB and how thin they are at edge, which makes not keeping Rodgers such a bag movie by Howie which doesn't happen often. I don't expect him to be perfect, but two years at 15 million would have left them with no question marks.

I wasnt aware of the age, but I do love Vele so I was gonna say thats a nice trade for the saints. Hes a player.

Him and Whittington were my two big WR sleepers from that draft who have not disappointed. Id love to see bigger roles for both of them.
