I don't think it's productive to nitpick a well executed play.

That's all people like him have to cling to.

What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Dak has always had awkward throwing mechanics. The hamstring issue he suffered last season was due to how he torques his lower body during a throw. He literally nearly ripped his hamstring off the bone throwing the football. He likely won't even be able to throw until training camp without risk of aggravating or re-injuring his hamstring. Because of the nature of the injury and the fact that it's a major muscle in his throwing mechanics, I doubt seriously he has any kind of serious year. A lot of athletes develop bad habits from trying to protect a previous injury or trying to come back early from an injury. Every time he rips the football he's going to wonder if it's going to happen again.

While you all are busy debating the lack of perfection during the dagger, this play somehow came across my timeline. My how we've grown.

Since you can't see it, it's the Todd Pinkston alligator arms play.

I had the video of his deep catch that same game up on YouTube. Not available anymore though since the obsessive stalkers that Hazelton wants unbanned got my youtube channel banned.

One of my favorites when I was a teenager. I even had a picture of Gary Cooper (in that role) hanging on my bedroom wall. I still have it. Great movie. And it has Grace Kelly, perhaps the most gorgeous actress ever.

Well, I didn’t have the poster. An interesting factoid: John Wayne was offered the part but turned it down for political reasons. Hated the movie. Even so, he accepted the Oscar for Gary Cooper and did it gracefully.

I defer to you on line play but for a 22 year old, I thought he looked good for what he is. #4 DT.

Is that what he is now? He was #4 DT... but I think that he's been elevated given recent events. Depending on how you classify Davis, he's either #3 or #2 DT.

Also had a much younger Lee Van Cleef.

I think Davis and Carter are the starters. I think Robinson will win the #3 DT (like @ManuManu I follow Nebraska football, my Dad was an alumni). So yes, I think Ojomo is the #4 DT. That said, I expect the "heavy” line (3 DL) will employ a lot of Robinson, Carter surrounding Davis but the majority will be two of the DTs playing.

I don't elevate rookies until I get to see them in PS ahead of vets... and I prefer coaches do that than just give them the job.

I think there's a differentiation between DT and NT. I see Davis as a NT only.

49ers signed Andre Dillard

Wilt's 50 ppg season with the Warriors or Carlton in 1972 come to mind.

How about Bernie Parent for back to backers in '73-'74 and 74-'75 seasons. 30 shut outs.

I remember "Only G-d saves more than Bernie Parent."

But I didn't say the DTs sucked or didn't suck. That would apply to being neither true or untrue because it's a subjective thing. I said I was uncomfortable with the position and Ojomo is unproven. That does not fall under the unclear because it's a definitive objective statement that I made, because how proven someone's resume is can be tangibly measured. You seem to be projecting that I'm implying Ojomo and/or the DTs aren't good, when I never said that. Saying I'm uncomfortable with them and saying Ojomo is unproven doesn't mean they're broken or not good. It just means unproven. And again, the Eagles agree with this because they used one of their first 3 picks on the position.

They used one of their first three picks to fill a hole in the roster that existed independent of Ojomo. If you don't agree that you overplay the "unproven" card, I can't help you. As I said it is your MO. Instead of advocating for running out to "fix" your concern by getting a "proven" DT to add to the roster, you could sit back and watch how the situation evolves. That isn't you though

Actually they are both capitalized in my name, just not in my screen name.

Eagles should get a comp pick every time someone signs him.

Just re-watched the Super Bowl (highlights)....man did we do a number on KC.....still hate that they scored 22 meaningless points because it was not even as close as the final score.

Noted. Davis is more than a NT. I think he lines up over the C less than half the time. I think he plays more in the 2i or 1 technique with some 0 and 2 mixed in. @just relax is so much better on line play than I am so maybe he will chime in. My focus when I watch the All22 tends towards the back seven.

His style fits more NT than DT, IMO, which matters much more than where he lines up. But I'd be curious to hear from JR. Davis plays much more 2 gap technique than anything else, regardless of where he lines up.

Chiefs just crapped the bed 🤣

Correct. Amazing play by Coop, especially for a rookie. Hence why I said it was both in my prior post. Not sure why everything has to be framed from a binary perspective

That's one play that, by your admission, was a great play by the defense and not an unforced error. It can't be both because saying Mahomes crapped the bed (i.e. played like crap) takes away what the defense did because "oh the QB just crapped the bed".

I count 3 that aren't.

Vaitai

Prince Tega Wanogho

Jack Driscoll

What weight is Ty Robinson going to play at? Combine he was 288 but at Nebraska he was supposedly 310-315
