Most postseason interceptions in league history is a tie of 4 people with 9. Quinyon Mitchell at 23 years old posted 2 as a rookie. If the Eagles are consistent playoff contenders, as they should be, he should have a chance to tie or break that record in his career. Only 7 away from tying.

He was pretty clearly concussed the first Commanders game by a dirty hit…even avoided answering if he got his bell rung by saying ‘I beat the protocol’.

If he passed the protocol, he wasn't concussed.

Eagles should get a comp pick every time someone signs him.

Every time Andre Dillard is signed, Demetress Bell rings.

Well if the shoe fits. I just hope we don’t see a return to the schtick that led to the signature Most aggravating and aggressive poster of the last 90 days, 12/6/24.

Wilmer McClean lived at Manassas, VA. His house was used by General P. G. T. Beauregard as his headquarters during First Manassas (as I was taught in school in Texas) or the First Battle of Bull Run, referred to as the picnic battle because onlookers held picnics on the outskirts of the battle. This was the first major battle of the Civil War. During the Union bombardment his kitchen was hit by cannon fire. McClean decided that living that close to Union territory was too dangerous, so he moved to Appomattox.

Four years later as Lee was preparing to surrender the Army of Northern Virginia, he arranged a missive to Grant. They looked for a place to meet and settled on the parlor in the house of Wilmer McClean. So Wilmer’s houses had a significant role in the beginning and ending of the war in VA.

I had a military history professor at A&M whose Civil War military class was full of stories like that. Been five decades but I have run across that story in subsequent readings.

I just visited Texas A&M for the first time last week. I really enjoyed the campus. Kyle Field is just enormous. My son just graduated from MSU and was accepted into A&M’s Nuclear Physics PhD program.

Here are a couple of other nuggets.

Thadeus Stevens was an ardent abolitionist and a Black Republican. He lived in Gettysburg for years where he practiced law and he owned the Caledonia Furnace, an Ironworks factory there. Jubal Early's men burned it down during the Gettysburg campaign, purely for spite.

Also for spite, in 1864 Quartermaster General Montgomery Meigs seized the home and lands of Robert E. Lee, allegedly for failing to pay back taxes of less than $100, and turned it into a cemetery for Union soldiers. That's the Arlington National Cemetery today. The burial plots of black and white soldiers were segregated until Truman ended that practice in 1948.

Could be. For some reason Shelby Foote comes to mind and Burns used him a lot.

I have seen a lot of the civil war battlefields. Walk them if you have the time. One of the first was Palmito Ranch a few miles from Starbase Texas, the newest town in Texas. This is where the last battle of the Civil War was fought. Arguably the Confederates won that battle. (Learned that in my Texas History class.)

I have also been to the northernmost conflict of the Civil War, not Gettysburg but St. Albans VT. Really more of a bank heist. Escape route to Canada went right close to one of my ancestor’s farm which was my main purpose of being there. Area was heavily populated by displaced Loyalist after the Revolution. (Yep, there were refugees from the Revolutionary War. Another thing not regularly taught in history class.)

That is true... and Vermont was not one of the 13 colonies that split from England. Vermont declared independence in 1777, and didn't join the Union for over a decade. Before that it existed as an independent nation, one of THREE states that were once independent nations.... Vermont, Hawaii, and of course, Texas.

For all those who are projecting Ojomo to get jumped on the depth chart, can you tell me what I'm missing because I haven't see this level of quickness and explosiveness from Robinson.

He's a lot less aggravating once you realize he doesn't really know what he's talking about and just tries really hard to pretend like he does.

My issue with him is against the run, especially in short yardage. I’ll see if I can post some clips of him getting wedged out.

At some point Goodell should be thinking "I need to suspend Luvu” instead of focusing on the Brotherly Shove. The NFL barred what he did on FGs and PATs by disallowing lining up over the C. I would ban launching like Luvu did before banning the play. Luvu plays with intent to injure.

Protocol isn’t perfect for fuzzy or cobwebs. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a degree of concussion.

Ojomo will be just as effective as Milton Williams was next to Carter. I said it consistently throughout last season every time he made a great play that he was the reason they were going to let Milton Williams walk in the offseason. Got ridiculed for it every time but I was right (as always).

Jeez this was a surprise. Congrats to Shough I guess. The job's his unless they trade for Pickett.

Congratulations to him. Great academics in that area and MSU and A&M are rated some of the tops in the nation. A&M today is much different than in my days. It really is a nice campus. Hopefully he will have a car as that helps a lot. Centrally located for Huntsville, Lake Somerville, Houston, Austin, Bastrop, Dime Box, even San Marcos, New Braunsfels and Canyon Lake and San Antonio. And you can still get a pitcher of beer at the Dixie Chicken.

Tanner McKee and a 7th for Erik McCoy, who says no? ph34r

Fleece the Saints for McKee Howie

I don't see how Pickett wins the Browns job against Flacco, Sanders, Gabriel., and if not, he'll be 4th string, because even if Flacco starts the other guys have more upside. He's not gonna make their team. Sometime before the season they'll trade him to the Saints for a late round pick swap.
