Is there a worse HC anywhere than James Franklin?

Hilarious how bad he is. Who's the idiot that thinks he's a great coach?

Bad loss by Penn State. Yeesh. They were overrated to begin with, seeing their first 3 games of the season, all at home against NO ONE.

Them and Clemson

They can attach whatever bad year they want to justify it. Something is wrong on the offense and it needs fixed. Thankfully we're having this issue while also winning

IMO better play design and playcalling would help tremendously and that could happen tomorrow. Howie will have a lot on his plate in the offense. Carter, Lane's replacement, Goederts replacement (though I think we should just move on from making TE such a priority), CB2, DE

Maybe Becton will be able to come back and that'd help out at guard

Lane's replacement should be a top priority in next years draft IMO

Thank you Eagles for winning 2 championships in less than 10 years, because the trash ass Phillies prolly ain't ever gonna win another one.

Typical Phillies baseball, cold when it counts.

There’s another bright side; the Flyers are about to start the regular season after a completely uninspiring offseason. We’ll see if Tocchet can at least not torpedo their development the way Tortorella did.

I have virtually no interest in the Phillies postseason because I’m assuming they’ll get washed away pretty quickly. Harper had a down year, Wheeler is gone, Schwarber will strikeout in every big spot — it won’t be pretty. I’m just hoping the Blow Jays get dusted as well.

@mattwill

Denver has a great secondary but the tend towards man. Good OL. But the Eagles are probably in football shape and coordination this week. I understand the criticism of Patullo but they have thrown out some new wrinkles this year and threw out something new every week so far. I think the next two games, they gel.

Bonus, Bonus: Welcome back, Saquon. Couple of big runs early opens up the passing lanes

The eagles were bigger road favorites last week against a better team than they are home favorites this week not sure what’s up with that.

Big if true.

Not a great start to the series for the Phillies. Jumped out to an early lead... and this is where losing Wheeler hurts most. You stake Wheeler to a 3 run lead in the 2nd inning and he can cruise to 7 or 8 strong innings, maybe giving up 1 run and you need 3 or 6 outs from the bullpen.

Sanchez has been spectacular this year, but it's altogether different in the postseason and he's just not that guy yet. He's proven that he can pitch in the postseason, but I think he runs more on adrenaline in the postseason and flames out quicker. This game was lost in the 6/7th inning. Bringing in Robertson to get the last out of the 6th makes sense, but putting him in an up/down situation was the issue in my eyes. The guy is 40 years old and didn't pitch much during the season. He warms up, pitches one inning or a fraction of an inning and then he sits down. Trouble is, they were only in the 7th inning and had to find 9 more outs. 3 from Duran in the 9th... but the gap between 7 and 9 was the issue. The Phillies bullpen doesn't have those guys this year. Strahm, Kerkering and Alvarado were supposed to be those guys. Strahm and Kerkering have regressed recently and Alvarado eliminated himself.

I am not sure what you have been watching and reading, but Denver is a really good team with a really strong defense. They are sneaky good and have been able to fly under the radar. They are not pushovers and not to be taken lightly.

They would be an easy out if our offense was preforming. With the way it looked 2nd half last week, Im not confident we will beat the Giants next week. Hopefully they at least give us a half again this week so the defense can win it for us again.
