Practice Squad...wow. He needs to learn the defense, but surprised no one would put him on the 53.

True, but when you're 4-0 coming off the Super Bowl season it's logical to take the tact that you don't tinker with what's working. The change in offensive coordinators was never going to be seamless, no matter who was brought in. They've gone from Steichen to Johnson to Moore to Patullo in 4 consecutive seasons. Even for professionals there is a learning curve.

They may want to study how the Lions have been more prolific after Ben Johnson walked out of the building; so far, their transition to a new playcaller has been executed very well.

I would say it's because campbell trusts his coordinators to run what they want

You never want to see a player get hurt, but I'm happy Dickerson got his ankle rolled up on during the game Sunday. Had that not happened, he would still be trying to play through this. He'd be hurting trying to play through his knee and back again this week. Take it easy big fella. Enjoy some rest and rehab. Get as healthy as you can for the 2nd half of the season and a SB push.

Figures

I don't understand why Hurts doesn't run to go catch every pass he throws in case it is bobbled. He puts enough air under all of them. If you can do it once you can do it every time. He set a new standard and I'll be disappointed in his effort if he does not keep it up.

McLane says Dickerson likely to miss 1-2 games. It could use a good two weeks off. Might help the Eagles in the long run. I bet if the Eagles beat the Giants then he'll also miss the Vikings game. If the Eagles lose to the Giants he might feel extra pressure to rush back, especially if they lose in part because Toth has an awful game or something.

I'm giving up the next 3 games off (Giants-Vikings-Giants) then the bye. Forget the ankle, his knee needs it too.

Kinda surprised the Bengals went for Flacco over Jameis or even Russ.

Russ would have made a ton of sense for them.

It could have been a compensation or money thing on why they did not.

One of the biggest issues I have with this passing game is that none of the passes seem to be built for RAC. I've yet to see Goedert outrun anyone on the play action flat pass they call 5 times a game. Every pass to a WR seems to be an out or a comeback so they either have their back to the end zone or they are being thrown with momentum going out of bounds.

I agree 100%. Part of it is play design but part is also Hurts not throwing soon enough. His receivers frequently are waiting for the ball to arrive while the defender(s) use that delay to drive toward the catch point.

BS. You can't be a QB giving inconsistent effort.

The only guy capable in Eagles history to be able to do this was Carson Strong. You make a good point, as this would rival the tush push as unstoppable and the league would certainly seek extinction of this play once converted.

Carson Strong was a able to throw further than it would be possible to run under his own pass.

Hurts' weak arm allows him the ability to steal more of his teammates glory and not only get all of the rushing TDs but begin stealing receiving TDs as well.

Sometimes you can be funny when you're annoying.

Not worth the headache and getting humbled for his nonsense.

Thus should be the guy the Eagles consult to fix this offense.

@eagle45

Carter isn't the same guy as last year, but he hasn't been bad. Lots of reps where he wins.

Still think the defense was good on Sunday.

4th post on the thread is about DT4. Byron Young has not been good. It's time to move on from him. Whether it's Gabe Hall or Ty Robinson, they have to make a move. Young is not getting it done.

Didn't even think Young should make the team. They probably believe they got the good Byron Young from the Rams and can't figure out why this guy stinks.

If they knew Ty Robinson wasn't ready this year, why would you trade Booker? Lane Johnson vouched for him and he was cheap help and developed here. Bad roster evaluating going on especially when you put Adoree in front of Ringo. They have not handled a Superbowl roster loaded with depth too well and a mismanagement of draft picks to self correct. He's gonna now have to overpay with those draft picks he hoarded, just to be back at square one at the deadline when we had line depth like Booker and Kinnard, who are both playing pretty well this year. While we have stiffs like Young and Pryor. Howie is missing on the signings and trades of both lines since this offseason began. Main reason why we are scuffling. Don't nearly have the same depth.
