Agree with Carson, this era feels like forever ago

The guy will be 31 in two months, has an expiring contract, and will want a ton of money. They aren't giving him up for a late round pick, so I have no idea why they'd invest a high pick (or multiple) for him. Most retire in their early to mid 30s.

I wonder how much Mark Andrews would cost if the Ravens start to sell. 30 and coming off a down year. Ravens are struggling and have a younger replacement in Isaiah Likely. Bit of a luxury but he gives us insurance when Goedert gets hurt again and is a plus run blocker.

Actually not a bad thought. This offense will probably run best in 12 personnel anyway.

Would you trade the Jets 3rd(currently #1 overall) for Hendrickson?

Watching for Kyle Van Noy, not sure what BAL is thinking these days.

He's gonna do it himself from now on

Yes

@vikas83 is that what you had?

Pretty close, as he seems to be including the 2025 option bonus as 2025 dead cap. I had $43mm incremental assuming his 2025 cap charge was unchanged. His current 2025 cap hit is $17.5mm, so this year is basically a wash and 43mm next year is where I had it.

Real question: Was he drunk before that game?

No. What I mean is they designed a scheme around Foles' limitations, they don't have to do that with McKee, who has the arm to make every throw.

Note that no one runs the RPO on a regular basis, if it worked that well, it would be a standard look like the WCO.

It's a good way to get your QB killed, I'd defend it like Buddy Ryan did the "chuck and duck," just pound the QB.

You keep saying Foles was limited…how? He didn’t have a cannon but he could make 100% of the throws. His ‘limitations’ were mainly injuries. He was prone to inconsistent play as well, but a majority of his time outside of Philly he had terrible coaching. I would say Foles was a QB who 100% needed a script to start a game to get his eyes to open and him seeing the field correctly as well…so add that too.

Doug didn’t ‘design’ a scheme to fit his limitations in the way you’re taking that statement. The Eagles were a juggernaut when Wentz went down, Doug stripped parts of the play book down to ease Foles into it. By the time the NFCCG started the leash was 100% off. His SB performance, throw for throw was one of the most impressive games a QB has played…ever.

An AJ trade is basically punting on this season and who knows for next season. We all know the stats and W/L record of the team when he's in the lineup versus out of it. I think he's the most important player on the offense. Unless if it gets to TO levels where he's basically demanding out, I don't know how you get rid of him. Hurts is not the type of QB that is going to elevate someone like Dotson or even DeVonta to match the production.

For a team that has a very strong two year window here to try to win another Super Bowl, I think trading AJ is one of the most idiotic things that they can do.

Nah, the most important is Lane Johnson and has been for a while now. Brown is likely 2nd.

The NFCCG that year was pretty close as well.

The tightening up of ineligible man downfield has seriously, seriously hurt us. Ow.

I was thinking this earlier when I saw the comments about the RPO. That decision to throw has to be very quick otherwise you end up with that downfield call since they started enforcing it regularly. It’s also different from college to pro, college get more room for the OL whereas in the NFL they get a yard if I’m not mistaken.
