Sydney Brown has been a playmaker on the field when he has been on there. They are invested 2nd round pick and Vic development in Makuba but Sydney Brown could do well developing there as well. Makuba had a real issue during training camp and preseason covering TEs and it has carried over into the regular season and teams are starting to notice it. I'm not sure if that will ever be fixable or not. I feel like that is an ability you have or you don't. I think at some point they sign CJGJ though. He gives up big plays like Makuba but he also makes a lot of big plays (Makuba made a massive one against KC) and unquestionably brings along an attitude of sustained toughness and swagger to the defense that we saw both in 2022 and 2024 and now have seen missing from 2023 and this current defense last game.

The defense to its credit was playing with a ton of attitude and swagger to start the year but had a lot of penalties (and a spit suspension) that I wonder if the coaching staff got on the defense to cool it down too much. Or if they really don't have any attitude if Carter is not playing. CJGJ brings that as well though so you don't have to depend on Carter always being in for it to be there. Plus we only go to Super Bowls when he is playing for us.

Imagine if they started training Johnny Wilson at Oline and had him start bulking up to play it. Not only would our oline future outlook not look so bad but he also wouldn't be injured. He could have been a potential Lane replacement in 2027.

Lmao a highlight reel that's not even 2 minutes long and has 7 plays (3 of which are on special teams). He probably has enough penalties called on him to make a highlight reel just as long.

Brown is a STer, nothing more. If he wasn't he would play more defensive snaps and they would move mukuba around like they did with coop last year. We probably wouldn't have even drafted mukuba kf they thought brown was any good

Hurts is holding this offense back. It is what it is. Good OCs (Steichen/Moore) can tailor the offense to his strengths and bad OCs (Johnson, Patullo) cannot. It's pretty simple. Would 100% be in favor of giving McKee a shot. No reason the offense should be this bad with the talent they have, and Hurts needs to start taking the blame.

Hasn't gotten any better with throwing the ball over the middle or going through reads. If the first option isn't there, the play is dead.

Good and bad is oversimplification, Sirianni and Johnson are average, Patullo is bad, Steichen/Moore are good. If you constantly need people who are above average and everyone knows that, you're going to get poached constantly for coaching talent.

Well Eagles Fans, we are headed Back to the Future.......as Past, Present and Future intersect in Minny. The Birds started the season roaring at 4-0 coming off a historic Super Bowl Playoff Run. Not to mentioned a Historic streak of 20-1. As they were rolling to 5-0 and blowing out the Broncos, they let off the gas in the 4th to Denver and suffered their 1st loss in forever. To add insult to injury, we let a freefalling Giants Team take it to us with two rookies. Now the Birds sit at two straight losses for the first time in years. They find themselves ironically with their backs against the wall early in the season. But it was at this exact point last year, they took flight. Can they do it again?

The Birds go back to Minny for the 1st time since 2019. Technically the Eagles haven't won a regular season game in Minny since Donovan in 2007. The have won two Playoff games in Minny. Donovan in 2009 and Nick and the Super Bowl in 2017. The Eagles lead the All Time Series 16-15. The Eagles are also 2-0 Vs the Vikings in the Hurts/Sirianni Era. Minny has started the season pretty good but dealing with injuries. Our old buddy and pal Carson Wentz is now the starter. He's been a journeyman since leaving the Eagles. He's 2-1 and playing decent for them. Eagles beat Carson while he was in Washington. He was also the backup for Mahomes in the Super Bowl last year.

The Vikings strength is their Defense who is great against the Pass. Vikings Defense hasn't given up more than 25 points all season. They also have Jefferson who can hurt you at any time. But they've been up and down as they haven't won back to back games this year. Against the Run that's another story which the Eagles need to exploit today. I was hoping for the best the last two weeks and the Eagles let me down. I still believe in this team so I know they will bounce back today. I think Saquon finally has his big game as the Eagles will lean on the run and get the formula going again. Defense will force Carson into some mistakes as well. Eagles have only scored in every quarter once this season against the Chiefs. I think they do it again today and get to 5-2.

BIRDS - 27

VIKINGS - 16

JALEN - RUSH TD

SAQUON - RUSH TD

GOEDERT - TD

JAKE FG x2

DEFENSE: INT, FUMBLE, MULTIPLE SACKS

Offense is pulled early for the first time since the SB

@mattwill

The last 2 weeks I've said this is the week the Eagles finally wake up and go off. I'm not falling for that again.

They win, but fight tooth and nail.

Eagles 23

Vikings 18

Ojulari- 2 sacks

Saquon- 78 yards

@mattwill

Eagles 19

Vikings 27

Saquon announces a new sponsorship with Tastykakes and Hurts drops a new Jordan hoodie. They continue to talk about how focused they are on the season and trying to find ways to get better.

But the Eagles social media account shows us all the players "fits" like we should be impressed by it.

This team is soft this year. They tried so hard to not let the SB win go to their head by not talking about it, yet you have Barkely releasing documentaries right before games. The offense can't get the ball to AJ Brown unless he runs a comeback route. They don't throw the ball beyond 10 yards. Barkley gets 6 carries in a half and then they abandon the run. They are begging for a warm body at CB2; I find this whole Kelee Ringo shaved head thing to be hilarious like its going to fix his ability to turn his hips. Run defense sucks, JD is having a great year and its totally being overshadowed by the shittyness of the DL. Zero pass rush.

Good morning! You can tell I'm excited for today's game.
