A lot of people will say, well if the Eagles had (insert the QB trending this week) they would not only win but win by even more!

Ok...but we don't have those QBs we have Hurts. They're not getting rid of him. They're not benching him for unproven McKee. The O line, run game and Patullo are bigger problems than Hurts.

Without reinventing who Jalen is... he/KP can work on 3 things.

1) The QB needs to be an integrated running threat within the offense, this really hasn't been the case this season.

2) Deep ball accuracy, this has been killing us recently.

3) If we are going to avoid the intermediate passing because of the risk of turnovers, they have to get much better at getting the ball out on time and on target so that receivers can catch the ball cleanly and have any chance at YAC on these short passes.

Siri has his job to do as well, as he should be coordinating with KP and the position coaches to get everybody on the same page. Not sure, why most seem to be OK with him being just the moral officer on this team while expecting the OC and DC to find all the solutions.

Hurts isn't doing well this year. Is he the better player all around? Sure. Is he the better QB? No. He needs everything to be perfect around him including a run game that gets him in 3rd and short to do well. He doesn't make fast decisions, he doesn't see the field, he doesn't hit the middle of the field. With the best defense, OL, and a run game he can absolutely do well. So can many QBs, but that isn't this year. On top of that we saw last night what a real QB can do with two of the best WRs in the game. The bottom line is things don't have to be as difficult with this offense as Hurts makes it. Is the OC to blame the most? Sure, he's not able to get the most out of Hurts and sucks all around. That being said a better QB could be doing a lot more with the weapons he has.

Hurts has been good this year but had one bad game (Giants) where the defense was also horrendous.

I can't take the criticisms from many of you people seriously because you have been so open with your pure hate for Hurts his entire career here despite being the most successful QB to ever play here. There is no genuine assessment, just an outpouring of hate at any given moment you all feel you have a chance to release it.

The Eagles have one of, if not the worst offensive coordinators in the league. They have one of the worst rushing offenses in the league. Despite this they are 4-2 even though they have played one of the hardest schedules in the league to this point (if not the hardest). Spare me this he needs perfect conditions BS when he has led this team to the 2nd best record in the league with far from perfect conditions.

There is a scene in the movie Goal where the coach is teaching the kid the ball moves faster in the air than making life more difficult on the ground making plays. That's Hurts. He can make plays and looks amazing at times, but he makes life more difficult than it has to be with the weapons around him because he can't see the field, he doesn't progress past one target, and he runs out of the pocket vs stepping up and making a throw. Again, last night we saw what an aging statue can do with two good WRs. The Eagles have those as well and it's time to see what someone who takes what's there, can progress through targets, and makes fast decisions can do because that isn't Hurts.

That was really fun watching Rodgers and Flacco go at it last night. Felt like an old school style of two quarterbacks just dissecting a defense that you don’t see a lot anymore. Quarterbacks now are as athletic as ever, but I get tired of watching the snap, drop back, and if the first read isn’t open start running around and try to make something happen.

Just something special about taking the snap, completing the drop, and either ripping a back shoulder ball towards the sideline or layering a throw over the middle of the field just over the linebacker. Sadly it’s becoming a lost art and I think the college game is a big reason for that.

I absolutely don't like Hurts and have never hid that. That being said you can't argue that he sees the field well or makes fast decisions past one target. He makes things much harder than they have to be. And the same can be said about you being on his sack no matter what he does.

We agree the OC sucks but Joe showed last night what a real QB can do with the weapons the Eagles have.

So you have nothing to reply with. Got it.

The Bengals and Steelers are 30th and 31st in passing yards allowed per game.

It was either a game with 2 really bad defenses or it was a significant NFL defining moment that showed the value in going back to classic 1970s style drop back passers that can't move.

I'm going to throw the QB coach under the bus. I don't know who he is or what he does, but I don't like him!

Hurts led the team to 75 points in 2 Super Bowls with his running backs rushing for pathetic 45 and 67 yards.

2.6 and 2.2 yards per carry

He outgained the rest of his team on the ground in both Super Bowls. and he passed for 263 a game.

Joe showed he can win a game by 2 points on a last second field goal. When Hurts wins a game and it isnt a blowout you have people pissing and moaning here complaining about it.

Well, allow me to retort.

The Cowboys are dead last in passing yards allowed per game, that 269.5 yards allowed per game sure was not inflated by Hurts 152 passing yards against them.

The Kansas City Chiefs rank 8th in passing yards allowed per game. That 192 yards allowed per game is most definitely inflated by Hurts 101 passing yards against them. Additionally, Herbert, Lawrence and Goff all passed for more yardage than the Chiefs allow on average, and Hurts, Lamar and Russell Wilson all passed for less, way less. In Hurts case, almost half.

Bucs rank 21st in passing yard per game allowed at 208.5 per game. They sure are not in the bottom 3rd of the league because of Hurts 130 passing yards against them.

It's not Joe's fault his defense sucked. He shredded Pitt. Do I expect McKee to do that? No, but I'd gladly take something between that and Hurts immediately running outside and not progressing past one target. We agree Hurts can win with the right OC and we both agree KP isn't that guy. It wouldn't shock me to see Hurts come out and have a big game passing and all this will go away. If he doesn't it's time to see what the kid can do with this OC.

No, you don't bench the best QB in franchise history, coming off of his 2nd Super Bowl who has this team in 1st place despite the leagues worsr schedule, one of the leagues worst run games and the worst OC. You people are so far gone from making reasonable takes because this place has always been an echo chamber of people who have hated Jalen since he was drafted.

What I notice on that play, when Barkley plants his foot to break in on his designed route, he had to go through his progressions.

Read 1, find my QB in the pocket and see if a pass is coming.

Read 2, where the heck is my QB on this passing play we called in the huddle.

Didn't the Eagles bench the 1st QB than won a Super Bowl as fast as humanly possible, and then trade him?

I have a lot of counters to the he's the best QB in franchise history, but I'll just say he's not the guy who will look good with this OC. That is a marriage that will not work. He can not bring out the best in two of the best WRs in the league. He needs the OL, Barkley, and 3rd and short to bring out the best in him. Maybe we get some of that Sunday and I hope we do, but if not I don't care what he's done. The kid needs a shot. Last night showed just how good WRs with talent can look with a real QB.

Then they might as well put him on IR if the best he can do is what we've seen so far.

He could be functionally better than what he has been but I think longer term he's not going to be 100% of where he was. I think for his playing health he has to consider changing his body to be leaner.

Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco have 5 and 6 interceptions respectively. Hurts throws one and his only one of the year last week in the most discombobulated performance from an Eagles team in years. On a short week mind you. And of course the naysayers will come out. Turrible!! The guy is a flat out winner! Showed out twice in the largest stage possible and outperformed the best QB of his generation in Mahomey. Yet here we are still! Haters gonna hate. Let's get Carson Strong in here geniuses.

Yes, I remember most of the people I was watching the game with booing during this play. I also saw calls for Baun and Cooper to get the MVP as if the defense did not collapse in the 4th quarter.
