A stat with no context, that someone scoured box scores to come up with to inflate Hurts. Lets dive in.

The first game that falls into arbitrary stat was week 1 of the 2022 season, Eagles 38, Detroit 35.

Eagles led this game 38 - 21 at the start of the 4th quarter. Detroit cut the lead to 38 - 28 with 14 minutes left, and then the Eagles went 4 plays, 10 yards and punted.

Lions then went 3 and out and punted.

Eagles again have the ball, and can grind out the clock, or put points on the board, but go 3 plays, 2 yards and punt.

Detroit then marches down and makes it 38 - 35 with 3:51 left in the 4th quarter.

The Eagles then run out the clock with

Miles Sanders - 3 yards

Miles Sanders - 5 yards

Miles Sanders - 24 yards on 3rd down that gets it to the 2 minute warning.

Boston Scott - 1 yard

You are taking this stat, and painting a picture that it was blow for blow, Hurts leads a TD drive, Goff leads a TD drive, its back and forth and the Eagles were the last man standing, when it was anything but.

The Eagles survived as Hurts accounted for 14 yards of offense across the Eagles 3 fourth quarter possessions, and the O Line, Sanders and Scott had to man up and take control of the game on the last possession.

curious on his run defense grade because coverage wise i think he’s been spectacular. Even without seeing this chart.

It is easier to believe 1 yard of separation is not open int he NFL, instead of watching a 40 year old QB demonstrate over and over how open it actually is.

It's a weird situation. Because with the talent on the roster you expect more passing production, everyone pretty much agrees on that. Yet, they've been winning and Hurts was clutch in the playoffs and won a Super Bowl. There was a time that fans would argue that despite a player performing well, he hasn't won a playoff game or Super Bowl so that was a criticism. Now we have a QB who wins but that's not enough. Hurts always talks about winning matters more and it's a really interesting conversation because winning the game is truly the only thing that matters. The rest is personal accolades and fantasy stats.

The argument would be easier if they were losing games, missing the playoffs, etc. because then a lot more fans would be calling for a change at QB. We compare to other QBs around the league...who don't win anything.

Hurts isn't going anywhere soon, so they have to coach to his strengths. Siri knows what the offense needs to be and is responsible for selecting the OC and dictating the game plan, and making changes if necessary to do what suits the players he has.

Last year the Eagles started 2-2 and everyone was ready to fire Sirianni and then they went on an amazing run and crushed everyone on their way to a title. As I've gotten older and watched the Eagles win two Super Bowls and nearly a 3rd over the past 8 years, I've learned to be a little more patient.

The guys in here clamoring for a QB change to someone who we've only seen in preseason or in mop-up duty are the same types of guys who smell their fingers after itching their asscracks.

I think force feeding a disgruntled diva just so so he can try and get his own stats doesn't lead to anything productive with winning. They were 4-0 and he started his complaining and they stsrted to try and force it to him snd have been 0-2 since.

Ok...but we don't have those QBs we have Hurts. They're not getting rid of him. They're not benching him for unproven McKee. The O line, run game and Patullo are bigger problems than Hurts.

Hurts isn't doing well this year. Is he the better player all around? Sure. Is he the better QB? No. He needs everything to be perfect around him including a run game that gets him in 3rd and short to do well. He doesn't make fast decisions, he doesn't see the field, he doesn't hit the middle of the field. With the best defense, OL, and a run game he can absolutely do well. So can many QBs, but that isn't this year. On top of that we saw last night what a real QB can do with two of the best WRs in the game. The bottom line is things don't have to be as difficult with this offense as Hurts makes it. Is the OC to blame the most? Sure, he's not able to get the most out of Hurts and sucks all around. That being said a better QB could be doing a lot more with the weapons he has.

Probably. But he's got a super bowl now, so if he has any goals of being a HOF receiver he's gonna need to go to another team or hope we get another QB. Not every player has that goal so it'll be great for us if he doesn't and he stays here

There is a scene in the movie Goal where the coach is teaching the kid the ball moves faster in the air than making life more difficult on the ground making plays. That's Hurts. He can make plays and looks amazing at times, but he makes life more difficult than it has to be with the weapons around him because he can't see the field, he doesn't progress past one target, and he runs out of the pocket vs stepping up and making a throw. Again, last night we saw what an aging statue can do with two good WRs. The Eagles have those as well and it's time to see what someone who takes what's there, can progress through targets, and makes fast decisions can do because that isn't Hurts.

Without reinventing who Jalen is... he/KP can work on 3 things.

1) The QB needs to be an integrated running threat within the offense, this really hasn't been the case this season.

2) Deep ball accuracy, this has been killing us recently.

3) If we are going to avoid the intermediate passing because of the risk of turnovers, they have to get much better at getting the ball out on time and on target so that receivers can catch the ball cleanly and have any chance at YAC on these short passes.

Siri has his job to do as well, as he should be coordinating with KP and the position coaches to get everybody on the same page. Not sure, why most seem to be OK with him being just the moral officer on this team while expecting the OC and DC to find all the solutions.

Hurts has been good this year but had one bad game (Giants) where the defense was also horrendous.

I can't take the criticisms from many of you people seriously because you have been so open with your pure hate for Hurts his entire career here despite being the most successful QB to ever play here. There is no genuine assessment, just an outpouring of hate at any given moment you all feel you have a chance to release it.

The Eagles have one of, if not the worst offensive coordinators in the league. They have one of the worst rushing offenses in the league. Despite this they are 4-2 even though they have played one of the hardest schedules in the league to this point (if not the hardest). Spare me this he needs perfect conditions BS when he has led this team to the 2nd best record in the league with far from perfect conditions.
