And for good measure...of course we get Eagles legend...Carson Strong... back in here as QB2. 2 Carsons are better than one.

The posters who did this meme are no longer here and haven't been for years. You can stop clinging to this like it was what the board actually wanted and move on now

Completely disagree with this. O-line is missing one guy, the rest are healthy enough to practice fully every day and not be on the injury report. D-line is missing one DT and one DE. No one else besides the 5th DE who wasn't even active most weeks is healthy. I think fans are getting spoiled with health the last few years and having two Super Bowl seasons with 99% of the starting units from Week 1 playing.

It's football. Injuries happen. Eagles still haven't had a real devastating injury to players that really matter besides Nolan Smith who isn't even expected out long. The issue is, which I have argued about this with people like @Diehardfan before the season even started, is the depth on the D-line sucks. The line is one good DT who is under performing and the rest are jags. The O-line really has no excuse because they shouldn't look this bad just because they let Becton walk.

Dickerson is a key cog and hasn't been right all season. Do you remember when Brandon Brooks would go out and the line was totally different? That was a pretty good line. Unfortunately, Dillon wrecked Mailata and Dickerson in one fell swoop. Crazy! This team lacks depth for sure. And Howie screwed up there. Just recently, with Booker and Kinnard. Who are world beaters as starters on their new teams. Not gonna even mention Becton miscalculation as well. Different identity on this line right now.

How Can the Eagles Fix Their Broken Offense?

Step one: Stop being so predictable. Step two: Get A.J. Brown open. Step three: Prosper?

I am not going to defend Hurts for bad decisions but I don't know how anyone can look at this play and think Patullo knows what he is doing. It looks like his first read was AJ which wasn't open. The question I have is why isn't the TE's route designed to take advantage of all of the open space left by the safeties getting wide to take the deep routes. The throw to Dotson isn't designed to be the first read. It's a difficult throw given their position on the field. If the TE is running a seam route, he is going to be open for a big game. Instead Patullo thought a dig does what on this play? It doesn't pull coverage from AJ and it doesn't take advantage of the zone coverage. I can't blame Hurts for not throwing to Dotson early on this play. That isn't the design of the play. I can look at the routes and say they don't do anything to force the defenders into bad choices. Dotson got open but he was only ever going to be open for an instant because the defender can easily recover.

Yes, if you want to talk about Brandon Brooks and 2020, now there is an O-line depleted with injuries. The line was totally different because literally every starter and even some backups were on IR or missed multiple games besides Kelce. It wasn't just Brooks. I think that year there was only 2 or 3 games that had the same starting unit on the field. It was a constant revolving door of everyone and a mess.

Dickerson is important for sure. But they have enough talent to look better than they currently do.

I'll have to get the receipts on all of that one day. Ha. The fact that one poster would suggest an undrafted free agent who was damaged goods to start here over him is pretty laughable. Did he even get one QB snap in the preseason games? 😅 Point being is Jalen just keeps proving everyone wrong. And that is part of why he is great. That hunger to win is undeniable and palpable. Even stronger, with all the BS about him since his college days. Peeps should root for an underdog like him. Perfect place for him in Philly.

I was referring to Brooks injury in Saints playoff game with Foles in 2019. Offense disappeared as soon as he left. Yes. They are underachieving for sure based on past rep. I think they will be playing better by EOY, as they get healthier. Each one of them is not near 100%. Even Steen has ankle issues.

Tbh - they just need to get back to basics.

What happened to the quick slant to AJ?

It’s almost an "unstoppable” play. Granted, it may not go for 20 or 30 yards every time but it’s almost a guaranteed 7-8 yards and gets the passing game going.

What happened to "fast developing” routes? Seems as if the routes (at times) take too long to develop. Quick outs, etc?

What happened to the "timing and touch” passes to Devonte?

Back to basics, imo.

People are enamored with McKee. Story of Philadelphia and the backup QB. See Kevin Kolb, Bobby Hoying. Brad Goebel and go down the line. McKee with this offensive line and play calling/design would be even worse. And be sacked and knocked down into oblivion resulting in lost yardage & fumbles. Adding on the probability of throwing several more picks by forcing it. I do like him though as a prospect, in the tiny sample we have been given in preseason and against the lowly Giants thus far.

I am sorry but no one ever wanted Brad Goebel to start a game.

Never, given his contract structure. Even if you cut him after the 2027 season, you have $65mm in dead money and a $47.1mm cap charge for 2028. If you post June 1 him, then you'll push some of that dead money into 2029.

If he simply played out his contract, you have over $97mm in dead money in 2029 and he's not on the team.

Thanks. That is something. Does the math change if we trade him at some point? Not saying it will happen but we did trade Wentz.

Revenge game!

After having incredible depth last season with guys like Rodgers and Milton Williams coming off the bench, they really don’t have any this year. It happens with free agency and they were never going to give Williams or Sweat the deals they got from NE and AZ. Rodgers could have and probably should have been re-signed so that was a miss on Howie’s end. There was a lot of pressure on guys like Hunt and Ojomo to step up and they’ve been pretty much invisible this year. Especially Hunt. Same goes for Steen replacing Becton at RG.

We all knew the biggest weakness on this team coming into the season was CB2 and it’s reared its ugly head with Quinyon going down last week, Ringo never taking the job that was basically served on a platter to him, and Bennett going down.

The Nolan injury hurt too because there is zero depth on the DL and you can make a case that their best pass rusher just retired earlier this week.

He's earned a look with the one's in a meaningless game or moment. No QB controversy. We need to see what we've got just in case.

He's got more video clips in his article. Problems are all over

It's just very annoying how we went from trash receivers to stars but can't seem to get the ball to them

Yes, that shifts money to the acquiring team. It's just under 65mm if we traded him this offseason.

He lost against us when he was with Commies

25/43 211yds 0TDs 0INTs and sacked 9 times

Though this time he'll have one of the best WRs in the league

Can't wait for wentz to throw for 350 and 4 TDs

Yeah. IMO, the CB2 issue was the number one issue going in and still has not been addressed. Bennett is not the answer either. If we are serious about a Superbowl that's first on the list. I think we can survive our other flaws. Besides, just not having enough depth. Howie left too many positions open to guys who have had very few NFL snaps and they were being crowned here all offseason. The defense needs more proven vets brought in. Especially with the overall lack of discipline on this team which has cost them as well, especially in Broncos game.

Rich Kotite did. 😄 You're right. We had no choice with that guy. But he did have a decent arm tho. We were screwed that year once Cunningham dropped in the first game. And McMahon was made of glass...

Wow, no game status designation for Q. Not great that Carter is questionable.
