What would he cost?

Guessing the Jets would ask for more than he’s worth due to the entire market wants pass rush. I’m guessing they’d ask for a 2nd. Hard time seeing someone pay it because he’s had durability issues. Missed last year. Missed 3 of 7 games this year. Comes with a higher cap number next year due to 5th year option. But i think they’d probably be happy to get their own 3rd rounder back from us as it’s looking like the 1st pick in the third.

Former Eagles, McCoy and Gore, on the HOF ballot for the first time.

Please don't trade for a TE

How much would he cost from Balt? If he stole him sure. If not that certainly isn't a position I'd overpay for.

No idea but I'd rather the offense just increase the targets to Smith, Brown, and Barkley

He's good people. Put him on ignore if you can't handle his presence.

I still can't believe that cheap Lurie hasn't put Gore in the Ring of Honor for the Eagles yet. nonono

Yeah, I was surprised as well. Time goes by quickly.

The NFL standard now is that QB contracts get 'extended' constantly. Gotta keep up with the massively inflated contracts of other QBs around the league.

That's a really good point. Why trade for another target when they already have trouble spreading it around. If DG goes down they don't have depth there would be my only thing.

I read this article a bit earlier this morning. I don't get a couple of their potential destinations for these trade targets, this one specifically. They have DAL as a potential destination for Andrews as well. DAL has more glaring needs than another TE, Ferg was a Pro Bowler in '23, a bit injured last year and played without Dak. This year he already has 51 receptions and 6 TDs, other than depth why would they be interested in Andrews?

Any trade DAL might make for an offensive player is just unnecessary at this point, unless it is just a can't say no kind of deal. I am all for trading Diggs but I am afraid DAL would have to give up picks and Diggs just to get rid of him.

Honestly, Dallas should stand pat at the deadline and keep its picks. They are in 10th place in the NFC and lose the tiebreaker to Chicago and Carolina who are 8 and 9 (I know that's less relevant because Dallas tied a game, but still). There are 6 teams with 5 wins, and the #1 seed Packers are 4-1-1. Giving up premium draft capital to sneak into the playoffs as the 6 or 7 seed and likely lose in the WC round seems to be a mistake. Keep the picks, draft nothing but defense, and hope Dak/Ceedee/Pickens have a 3-4 year run in them.

It also helps to tack on more void years and push more money into the future.

They use TEs for everything but they should just not rely on them as heavily anymore IMO

No, I will continue to annoy you. Why are you here?

You are not annoying me, I am happy to engage with most every poster here, yourself icluded. I've provided this answer before but I will indulge you.

I enjoy participating in the football discussion here, and this board is much better than any other board I've somewhat been active in, and is the only NFL board I post in. I have been here for two years, I have always been respectful, sometimes to a fault. The posters here are knowledgeable and entertaining, I know my place and stay out of the controversial discussions for the most part. I primarily talk only FO moves, schemes, players, etc., with the occasional meme and just having fun interacting with like minded people. I have never resorted to name calling, at least in a derogatory manner, jokingly possibly, but never out of malice.

I am not sure how I offended you, other than by being a DAL fan, which is the reason I asked you to ignore me if I am degrading your experience here. It's going to take a lot more than a post or two talking Sh!t at/about me to run me off.

Yeh, I said the same thing yesterday when the Crosby rumor was floated. They have two years and the picks to gain a lot of ground on the rebuild imo. I don't expect they can pay Pickens and keep him and Lamb both happy long term.

So. I watched the condensed replay of the game last night (the NBA is boring), and a few things that were clear:

  • I'll say it again, Brett Toth is not an NFL player. Barkley played really well despite the low yardage and managed to avoid even more negative runs.

  • Our defense is COMPLETELY different when Carter plays. Even though he isn't the same as last year, he's still the best player on defense BY FAR.

  • Nakobe Dean played a great game and really changes the run defense.

  • Honestly, Adoree wasn't horrible before getting hurt. Ringo, on the other hand...
