Yeh, I said the same thing yesterday when the Crosby rumor was floated. They have two years and the picks to gain a lot of ground on the rebuild imo. I don't expect they can pay Pickens and keep him and Lamb both happy long term.

Well, they only have $2.7mm in 2026 cap space per Spotrac, but that's with Dak at a $74.1mm cap number, Ceedee at $38.6 million and Tyler Smith at $27.5mm. Converting $38mmof Dak's salary to a signing bonus would open up over $30 million, and they could get $16mm plus each by doing the same to Ceedee and Smith. So Jerry could open up over $60mm in cap space by paying out cash, but he's always been very cheap on that kind of thing.

You'll know if he has any interest in competing based on what he does with those 3 contracts. Historically, he hasn't done the restructures in time for FA and costs himself.

Can we move DAL to Flawed until they get a new owner AND GM? Hell promote Will McClay to GM...please!

Please don't trade for a TE

I'm not against the potential of a Michael Mayer trade, as he's still under his rookie contract next year - so more than a rental. He's an in-line Y tight end who can block / do Goedert things as a bridge next season while a rookie is trained up.

I'm a process over results guy, but at some point when the results are normally good then their process is good.

Normally yes. But i'm going to just point out 2023 again when their process was terrible but the results were good, until they weren't. No one expects a blowout every game, but everyone should expect to see a competent offense with who we have.

I still don't understand the Pryor situation. His feet were good enough to risk at RT, but he isn't good enough to be the first guy off the bench at guard where he has a fair amount of experience in the league?

Who is Dallas dangerous to other than their own fans?

Btw... this must not be based on where things stand in the standings, because the Ravens are currently 1-5, and have almost 0 shot at even making the playoffs. So, right now they would be proven to be bad... dare I say atrocious. They have Lamar. They have no defense, which is weird to say about the Ravens given their history. They are currently the worst in the league in PPG.

Yeah.

Maybe they saw him in game action and decided they didn’t want him at either position.

That's a good question.

You can find some other "friends" on your Lakers and Yankees board. GTFO.

Joe Ball is good. I will stick up for him. I will always root for Dallas to lose, painfully. I am not pragmatic nor sympathetic in that regard. But no ill will towards Joe.

While we are bringing old faces back into the building......time to bring in CJGJ. BG is here to straighten these cats out if they get out of line. He and Reed play pretty well together and have good chemistry. Reed's game is a bit off this year. Maybe get him going as well. CJGJ is a playmaker, plain and simple. Getting him for a bargain from his previous contract signed here. Can start out on practice squad. Don't see too much risk here at all. Guy will come in with a chip on his shoulder and fresh legs. Will get these guys pumped up.

I'd bump the Panthers to flawed. They are starting to build something even though I don't like their QB. Their defense is 7th in yards allowed per game, 10th in passing yards allowed, 8th in rushing yards allowed and 13th in points per game. Offense is a WIP but they have a decent run game going.

Their OLine was dominant against DAL a couple of weeks ago, not hard to do this year, but you can def see significant improvement, and yeh dead on regarding their QB. He just doesn't move the needle for me either.

Jackson Powers-Johnson an option for us? Heard he maybe on the block

I wasn't a huge fan of this for PHI when I saw it mentioned a couple of weeks ago here, but if there is room for him in PHI that would be the place for him to make the biggest contribution to any team imo. It worked out well the last time he came back, he knows the locker room, knows his role, and they know what he can bring to the table, I don't think it could hurt anything. I am not saying PHI needs to make a move here but history doesn't lie when it comes to results with him on the roster, it's almost like he is a different player when he is in PHI.

I’d swap Tennessee and Arizona

Tennessee is bad right now but last 30 years or so they’ve been competent

Arizona aside from 1 playoff run in 2008 have been mostly abhorrent

Agreed. There must be some internal feud going on here. He needs to repent for his sins and seek forgiveness if so. And get back on this team. Secondary plays better with him than without him. He can also play slot when Cooper goes to CB2. Just a good fall back plan anyway. If there's an injury, Sydney Brown won't be an answer. Been harping on this lately, regarding lack of team depth. It's in every position on the defense except linebacker. Can use help everywhere.

TEN really screwed up when they let Vrabel go.
