You know how I know it is annoying the players and coaches constantly being asked about it? Because it is the same level of annoyance I get with you everytime you have to draw some issue woth any and every post I make.

I can't help you with that. The only one who can looks back at you when you gaze into a mirror.

Be a duck.

We did have an interlude in this harmony somewhere in the past few days, but I saw no reason to upset the apple cart.

Yeah. Pointing it out would have been swimming upstream. I try and be annoying to only one person a day.

Who gets cut for him?

We don't have to worry about that until after the Bye. I suspect there will be a few changes, not just Cooper.

Could be drawn out as far as November 13th.

Agreed on everything here. First off, some of the guys being rumored as available won't even be dealt. Just based on rumors you've got Jermaine Johnson, Will McDonald, Bradley Chubb, Jaelen Philips, Trey Hendrickson, and Arden Key. Even if 3 or 4 of them are actually dealt there will be several teams bidding for them. Edge Rusher still won't be a strength of the team but a group of Smith, BG, Hunt, and Uche is adequate.

Meanwhile CB2 is the greatest weakness on the team BY FAR. Things aren't always what they are rumored to be but you keep hearing about several teams wanting to trade for an edge rusher (Eagles, 49'ers, Bills, Commanders, etc) and not a whole lot about teams wanting to trade for a corner. I think the cost relative to the player they would be able to get will be much more reasonable for a corner versus and edge rusher.

In a perfect world we could come away with a corner and an edge rusher but there is only so much a team can do at an NFL trade deadline and CB2 has got to be the top priority. I would also like to see them sign someone for the secondary for depth. Jackson and Ringo can't play at all and we basically only have two safeties and both have been pretty inconsistent through 7 games. If we are going to legit contend for the SB the secondary needs to be addressed.

Yup I just think the price is gonna be too high for teams and limited amount available. Maybe at the last minute some of these teams decide to lower it and you get them for a better value. But I have a feeling the Eagles are not gonna want to trade what’s gonna be asked to them with smith and BG coming back. I think corner is gonna be much more reasonable and guys who are adequate enough that it is a massive improvement for us. Tbh I’d sign Samuel when he’s ready and trade for one to get more depth as i don’t trust adoree or ringo.

I’ve been thinking this for a while too, I think the Eagles first round pick is probably gonna be a pass rusher if one is available. Id say OT if that’s the best option. I also think next year at tight end they’re gonna draft one. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not until like the 3rd or 4th round round. then they go into free agency with somebody like Mark Andrews or njoku available. DOnt see either breaking the bank but can be bridges til the tight end they draft is ready.

Well said.

They can fix this in one solid offseason and draft.

Njoku is always injured no thanks

Imo I think the market for a past rusher is gonna be too rich for what they wanna pay. I actually think the corner market probably is gonna be more reasonable for them. And I also think they believe getting BG and Smith back is good to help immensely. Plus, if you upgrade the second corner of position to where it is competent and solid, I think they believe that they that will also help their pass rush like last year (seated and sheik explained all offseason and last year) when they had slay, Mitchell and dejean.

Vic doesn,t seem to be the type to throw a new player out on the field no matter who he is Vic will want to seem him in practice and limited reps. It could take 3-4 games before Vic is comfortable giving a new guy a lot of game time.

So he's like Goedert except younger.

Tbh with the week off after the giants, I kind of think they’re gonna make it during their bye week. So that gives whoever they trade for a week to study the defense and learn it. And then he has the following week leading into Green Bay. I also kind of think because of how bad the cornerback position is, if it is a significant upgrade he might move faster. Speculation on my end, but i kind of think Bennett was a Howie move and this time Vic is likely giving more input to Howie on which guy he wants. So the transition might be faster than it normally would.

He might be but that’s why you also drafted someone 3-4th round. Just hope njoku if he goes down it’s in games far enough along where the rookie is ready. Goedert has played in 57 of th last 75 eagles games since the schedule went to 17 games. Njoku is 63 out of last 75. In 2023 when he had major burns he played 16 of 17 games. I think some of the time he misses is also due to the browns keeping him out as game didn’t matter to them so why risk further injuring him. Like last year week 17 and 18 he missed. If browns had something to play for i think he likely plays.

Tbh i think njoku playing with crap QBs pretty much his entire career could finally take off if he gets to a place with better Qb play.

Yup year and a half younger. Tbh some of the games he has missed is also contributing to Cleveland being out of it and just sitting him. Week 17 and 18 last year he sat. If Cleveland had something to play for he may have played with injury.

I honestly have no clue how he is as a blocker but I think he is definitely a more explosive athlete at TE than Goedert is at this point.

I wanna say it was Syed on the Philly special podcast who was breaking down the film and pointed to goedert has not been nearly as good of a blocker this year as he has been in previous years. maybe he’s still dealing with the injury he missed a week with. Could be just a down year in that area.

Tweets are from 2022 season but take it for what it’s worth about blocking

Jeffrey Simmons is at the Philly airport!!!

I don't know, after Vics comments going into last season about in season trades rarely working out and him not liking them because of the learning curve to play in his defense I wonder if they even bother on defense.

Honestly i have to imagine Vic realizes ringo and adoree are simply not good enough. I think he’s stubborn to a point but even he realizes neither is capable of getting the job done.
