But Howie can typically redo other contracts to push that money to future years. It's more about a multi-year total budget. In that way the salary scheduled for the remainder of this year is actually saved. All that said I don't see a trade until the offseasonBut that is only something you do if you have incentive to do so. He's still great, he wants to be here, they win with him, and they have no financial incentive to get rid of him. If he was a washed player or a guy who was hurting the team, it may be something they'd consider, but Howie Roseman has zero reason to even entertain the idea. 2026 WR class isn't even that good, so this isn't even a situation where they could get out ahead of a guy who maybe they project to decline in a year or two and replace him with a stud WR position from the draft class.I maintain that it has next to no chance of happening and have heard as much from some pretty well placed sources.
13 hours ago13 hr It is early but we drafted Mukuba over Xavier Watts and Jonas Sanker. Gonna have to play out but as of now, not looking to swell. Watts was just nominated rookie of the month. Few of us were questioning the safety pick over the others draft night...

12 hours ago12 hr Eagles Superbowl chances go straight out the window this year with AJ Brown traded. But I'm not confident this is a Superbowl team here, as of today, barring a fantastic trade deadline here. Not a huge fan of AJ's Diva antics, but not really stirred up by all of that. I just enjoy winning football games most and keep the personal stuff at a distance with these athletes. Like many have mentioned here, this is most likely a moot topic til after next season. But...if you're Howie and you get a crazy trade proposal before then, that sets up your team for a couple drafts you do have to listen. Even with the cap ramifications. Everybody has their price. But don't really see that being met here. For today, you start with a Tyreek Hill type trade package before you even start listening, if I'm Howie.

All that said I don't see a trade until the offseasonIt’s a monster problem as we really don’t have anyone we can restructure to save 2026 cap space. There’s zero chance we are taking 60mm in dead money to trade on of our best players. Same deal this offseason - AJ is here through next season.
12 hours ago12 hr AJ isn’t getting traded, he just needs to be less of a POS and a better teammate.Challenge likely impossible.

12 hours ago12 hr Just to make this simple - trading AJ will put around 43mm of dead money in 2026. His cap number is around 22mm, so you lose 21mm net. We have around 36mm in space with this year’s rollover, so now we have 15mm. And we don’t have a TE. Or edge rushers other than Nolan and Hunt. Or a starting safety. The ONLY potential saving is extending Jordan Davis, which might save 6-8mm. 21-23mm, and you need 2 starters and a ton of depth (we also don’t have CB2). Oh and Carter needs to get paid. It. Is. Not. Happening.

If Howie was willing to trade for Parsons, then Becton & Williams was possible last offseason, no matter what cap experts on this board think. And I rather pay both of them and then have worked from there. So you don't sign Jurgens long term at that time and most likely lose Davis long term. I'm okay with that scenario. And was then. I like the trenches always being stocked. That failed this year. Still had Davis and Ojomo for 2 more years in my scenario. A solid 3 year Superbowl window right there on paper, at mimimum, with excellent line depth. And Steen as a great backup who would play a bunch with our injuries. And Jurgens you just wait on after only one full season starting at Center. And a bad back. Not even a home town early discount there. Signed for Top 2 Center bucks.
