I feel like the Dillard fiasco really made a lasting impression… well maybe not on Fred who must be ambidextrous.
Saturday at 11:43 PM2 days Yup...I just checked gamecast on ESPN...and they have the gambling numbers posted on the main screen. You would think the NBA would be circling the wagons and shutting things down. I know the NBA doesn't own ESPN, but they definitely have enough power and influence to do the right thing and distance themselves from all public gambling conversations.
Saturday at 11:52 PM2 days 5 hours ago, e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! said:3 things from that article:Translation: The Eagles are using him when they are in trouble, but not involving him consistently enough for his liking. He’s clearly losing patience. From the article:An opposing defensive coach said he actually understands Brown’s frustration."Hurts struggles against zone,” he said. "That’s when A.J. goes MIA. There are times it looks like Hurts doesn’t fully trust what he’s seeing, so he checks it down and plays it safe. It’s either a deep shot or a checkdown — not much in between. The timing is just off. And you can see it on the field — the communication between Hurts and Brown just isn’t there right now.”Bottom line: Brown can be frustrated all he wants, but this team plays for the ring first. However, GM Howie Roseman will always listen, and if the Eagles get an exorbitant offer? Nobody is untradable in Philadelphia. The first part makes sense because when they do get into trouble, they tend to go his way. But this has kind of been an issue since last year. I brought it up last year when they faced the ravens and then the Panthers. He had one target over the span of 4 quarters. It is ridiculous for a top 5-10 wide receiver in the NFL. And they did it this year as well. It’s been an issueSecond the advanced analytics for this year have shown they’re not good against zone coverage. Sheil, Seyed and BLG routinely discuss this. It’s a problem. Teams are going to keep continuing to play heavy zone until we show that we can adapt and actually beat zone consistentlyThird everyone in the NFL is tradable for the right price except for Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Even with cap and dead money hurting them. If somebody came to the Eagles and offered them for 4 1st round picks and a starting Wr for AJ Brown, I am guessing the Eagles probably make that move even with the cap/dead money ramifications. unless you’re Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes, everybody in the NFL has a price that a team would be willing to trade them for.I really love this stuff. We know Hurts' kryptonite, Its zone, but since we just love those Eagles we refuse to play zone all the time so AJ has numbers of 1393 and 9 over 17 games with the EaglesHurts has this simple off button but he keeps getting to Super Bowls. We must really suck at this scheming defense thing.Just because a loser clown from another organization says something it does not make it true. This 2nd grade level analysis from that secret anonymous other organization bro is like a chess master talking about how to use the horsey. If you are in 3rd and 5 or less teams will mostly play man because you can turn around at 5 yards in a zone for a free first down.So its man on the easy 3rd downs. You play heavy box on 2nd and short so its man. If your OC is not Patullo you can use this to get big plays. If you are in 3rd and long like 3rd and 15 the other team plays zone because you don't want to lose Hurts on a long run and you want to keep the 10 yard passes in front of you so you can swarm.Every time Saquon gets blown up in the backfield on 1st and 10 and now its 2nd and 12. Hurts is probably seeing zone.Every time he hooks up with a 25+ pass play only to have it come back and now its 1st or 2nd and 20. He is going to see zone.Every time someone gives you a man vs zone split without explaining this its because they have an agenda. They also assume you are stupid. Are you stupid?AJ himself is a better player vs man because he can outrun 1 man or get inside him and out-muscle him for tough yards.AJ has a bad hamstring. He's had this all year. Its got scar tissue now?He looked like a mush rush DE running routes vs Dallas. His route on the first scramble drill TD vs Minnesota was pathetic. Watch it in the JT O'Sullivan review. The O-line is giving up way too much instant pressure.I can't believe that Hurts did not find AJ deep when Matt Pryor was in the game. The OC is calling way too few pass plays in run situations. This is when AJ and DeVonta shine.AJ quit on a 61 yard TD that was a perfect pass.So AJ should be at 456 and 4 or 1107 and 10 over 17 in a very strange year for the offense.(not counting the TD Hurts threw him turned PI that gave the Eagles a 1st and goal at the 1 and 7 points but less glory for AJ)The Eagles offense is 26th in yards because Patullo is a dunce and the line is bad.If Patullo were just replacement level then they have another 400+ yards on fooling the D into unexpected passes. These same idiots hold theories like. Hurts can only play when he has elite talent (completely ignoring 2001 and 2003)Its not that he can't win without a healthy Dickerson. No offense can succeed with a Dickerson with a locked up back after a lightning delay or a 45th best C / 120th best G Toth in the game.Toth would not see playing time in the spring league. He could not make a CFL roster. He is here because they like him and he works hard in practice and he knows the plays.Oh look, Amon Ra St Brown and both Burrow receivers are right up there with Brown as excelling vs Man.PFFNFL’s 10 highest-graded wide receivers against man covera...Braxton Howard reveals the best NFL wide receivers against man coverage.
Saturday at 11:55 PM2 days Sixers are very fun to watch this season based on the very limited sample size. VJ has fit in so well and has been such an immediate addition.
Sunday at 12:09 AM2 days Note Joe Burrow is above average vs zone most of the time but not in any meaningful way that leads to enough points or wins.So he gets some more EPA per play, maybe a higher passer rating, and he can't put up 17 vs New England or win a single shootout in 2024.So he is the MVP of PFF while Hurts was the MVP of the Super Bowl.
Sunday at 12:13 AM2 days People are being caught gambling because of the legal gambling not the other way around. These people committing crimes have nothing to do with legalized gambling. Sunday at 12:37 AM2 days Its so weird that gambling and cheating to manipulate stats and outcomes is such a big story now but NFL refs cheat this way every week. They need an eye in the sky to overrule all the cheating. How much of a stretch would it be for them to cheat for financial gain?
Sunday at 12:43 AM2 days Just now, SkippyX said:Its so weird that gambling and cheating to manipulate stats and outcomes is such a big story now but NFL refs cheat this way every week. This is a thing I think is going to be the next big issue. With all the push for legal gambling there is even more incentive to get it right. I’m sure that refs are bought here and there but I don’t think for the most part they do it on purpose. That doesn’t matter though. An obviously bad call can cost someone a ton of money. Even in baseball. If you have 10 grand on a game and it ends on a strike that is obviously 9 inches outside (costing you the bet) how is that still a legit bet? The rules of the game state it’s a ball and you placed your bet based on the rules of baseball. Class action lawsuit incoming 😄
Sunday at 12:44 AM2 days The PI call on Riley Moss last week was a ref trying to fix the outcome of a game.Moss turned around to look for the ball and the WR jumped on him. Moss was the receiver at that point and it was OPI if anything. The No PI call on Goedert vs Denver was the same 100 out of 100 obvious. The excuse in the Philly Denver game was that all the refs looking to where the ball was going did not see the clear and obvious PI.The excuse in the Denver New York game was that peasant players need to respect the refs authority to cheat whenever they want.

They see it.
