The first part makes sense because when they do get into trouble, they tend to go his way. But this has kind of been an issue since last year. I brought it up last year when they faced the ravens and then the Panthers. He had one target over the span of 4 quarters. It is ridiculous for a top 5-10 wide receiver in the NFL. And they did it this year as well. It’s been an issue

Second the advanced analytics for this year have shown they’re not good against zone coverage. Sheil, Seyed and BLG routinely discuss this. It’s a problem. Teams are going to keep continuing to play heavy zone until we show that we can adapt and actually beat zone consistently

Third everyone in the NFL is tradable for the right price except for Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Even with cap and dead money hurting them. If somebody came to the Eagles and offered them for 4 1st round picks and a starting Wr for AJ Brown, I am guessing the Eagles probably make that move even with the cap/dead money ramifications. unless you’re Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes, everybody in the NFL has a price that a team would be willing to trade them for.

This is a thing I think is going to be the next big issue.

With all the push for legal gambling there is even more incentive to get it right. I’m sure that refs are bought here and there but I don’t think for the most part they do it on purpose. That doesn’t matter though. An obviously bad call can cost someone a ton of money.

Even in baseball. If you have 10 grand on a game and it ends on a strike that is obviously 9 inches outside (costing you the bet) how is that still a legit bet? The rules of the game state it’s a ball and you placed your bet based on the rules of baseball. Class action lawsuit incoming 😄

The PI call on Riley Moss last week was a ref trying to fix the outcome of a game.

Moss turned around to look for the ball and the WR jumped on him. Moss was the receiver at that point and it was OPI if anything.

The No PI call on Goedert vs Denver was the same 100 out of 100 obvious.

The excuse in the Philly Denver game was that all the refs looking to where the ball was going did not see the clear and obvious PI.

The excuse in the Denver New York game was that peasant players need to respect the refs authority to cheat whenever they want.

They do all kinds of deep analytics looking for fluctuations in betting that would happen if a player was throwing a game so people could profit.

If you randomly have a crazy under performing game and people randomly bet for you to under perform in that game and then it happens more than once. They see it.
