Hes not special against the run. Push him around and run at him on the ground. Then drop back, let him overpursue, and dunk a screen right over his head in the open field. If they can run the way they did yesterday, it will render Parsons useless.Yep was thinking that as well. Run at Parsons

But a CB can't be another Bennett type player. Has to be an established vet like a Ward from Cleveland.
13 hours ago13 hr Big props to adjustments that were made. Improved coaching and player execution.Whipping boy #1: Patullo, had a rough start this season but is showing improvement, and they're installing necessary things to bring spark to the offense. Fred Johnson as extra O line, outside runs and getting Barkley touches any way you can, giving Bigsby carries, throwing the ball more, more deep shots to the receivers, adding slants, red zone creativity. We didn't see that in 2023 with Brian Johnson and that's very hopeful.Whipping boy #2: Toth, played well and was not a liability this week. The run game and O line domination: speaks for itself. If the run game gets going like that, they can beat anyone.

13 hours ago13 hr I can easily see that Howie had his ducks lined up for potential trades this next week or so and it's more about timing. Not to pull the trigger too early to first to see what you have. Also, to save every week of money on cap, especially if it's a big ticket guy. Timing of coming back from bye week and trade deadline is more than perfect.Trade bait from our side in the right deal:1) Dotson-Hate to lose him with AJs volatility and health.2) Ringo- I'll trade him for a vet. He's just not it, at CB, long term. And just can't afford to wait for him on a Superbowl contender3) Aziz- Fangio doesn't love this guy and that's that. Can save some dough here as well. Not much tho.4) Mckee- This one is painful. But the future is Hurts here. If that hasnt registered yet, seek a doctor. Must overwhelm me tho in a midseason deal as it's disruptive.5) Of course. For the geniuses here. AJ Brown. 🤣
13 hours ago13 hr My offseason prediction still stands: the Eagles will repeat as Super Bowl Champions. Here's why I'm still encouraged:Overcoming adversity, kept fightingMaking necessary adjustments, showing humility about what's not workingO line getting healthier and the run game breaking outHurts and the passing offense has got it done and had big performances, and been very efficientLimited turnovers on offenseDefensive players getting healthier, Nolan Smith returning, rookies continuing to get better each week, guys like Hunt and Ojomo stepping upOur biggest concerns are CB2, pass rush and O line health. They have enough going for them to overcome those things. The league overall doesn't have elite teams better than us. No team should "scare" Eagles fans. A lot of the teams with top records have had easy schedules. Pats and Colts haven't beat anyone. Packers tied with the 'boys and lost to the Browns. Lions lost to the Packers and Chiefs, otherwise beat scrubs. Bucs lost to us and the Lions, otherwise beat scrubs. The Eagles however have one of the hardest schedules and beat Cowboys, Chiefs, Rams (everyone was "scared" of them and Stafford but we own them for years), Bucs, Vikings (another fraud fans have hyped up). Yeah they lost to the Broncos and Giants the first time but had injuries and every team loses a game or 2 they should. But they are back on track. They have the playoff experience, coaching and know how to win. The only team standing in their way is...themselves. Both lines play well, the run game dominates, defense maintains leads and they can beat anyone. Not a single team in the NFL is worrisome. Teams should be scared to play the Eagles.

13 hours ago13 hr Well...that was fun from the jump. We finally came out and curb stomped an inferior opponent, and it is a great way to go into the bye week. The return of the running game, continued efficiency from the passing game, and the defense continuing to excel. Yeah, it was the Giants, but still was great to see.Just an overall thought on the offense -- 9 drives, and only one punt. 5 TDs, 1 FG, 1 missed FG, 1 punt and then ending the game. So basically 8 of 9 drives were successful, and one quick 3 and out. That's not good -- that's (in the words of Tony the Tiger) GREAT. While we have all been rightfully concerned about the offense and the high volume of 3 and outs, yesterday was the complete opposite and it showed in the fact that the NYG only had 50 snaps. Just amazing what can happen with a running game.Another really solid game from Hurts with very high efficiency (75% completion, almost 9 YPA, 4 TD passes and only 5 incompletions). But the really encouraging thing is the continued use of under center play action along with exploiting the middle of the field. Feels like those dig routes to Smitty are there every time we run play action, and we are finally exploiting it. I guess you could complain about the 4 sacks (one terrible one to set up 2nd and 26 before Bigsby bailed us out), and he still didn't spread it around that much, but that's nitpicking. Jalen is firmly in the MVP conversation. The rumors of Saquon's demise were clearly overstated. Not just the big TD run to start -- he had 13 carries for 85 yards after that 65 yard TD, or over 6.5 YPC. It was very encouraging to see them run more of a gap scheme than zone scheme. The return of double team blocks freeing up guys to get to the 2nd level -- Dickerson basically blocked 3 guys on the TD run. The Giants run defense is trash, and we won't run for 276 yards every week, but...Buffalo, Dallas and Chicago are on the schedule and have terrible run defenses. GB and Detroit have solid run defenses -- let's see how we do against them.Tank Bigsby...that was impressive and he is RB2. Just never try and field a kickoff again. Here for next year as well.Interesting note -- looking at who gets cut to make room for BG, Nolan and Bennett. Feels like Dillon and Nickerson are for sure going to be cut and hopefully added to the PS. Guessing maybe Latu or P. Johnson is the 3rd...I like Johnson on special teams, and I'd almost vote Granson should be cut. But Dillon seems destined to be gone.Brett Toth, I owe you an apology. Having a week to practice and prepare to play center seemingly made a world of difference. Just please never play LG again. Speaking of LG, that's the best Dickerson has looked this year, and now he gets some rest. The 6 OL looks with Big Fred at TE need to continue, and we are going to throw one to him eventually.Smitty is so damn smooth.4 sacks from a depleted line with really only 3 edge rushers (not including Campbell). But the DTs on this team are just dominating. Ojomo up to 4 sacks this year is significantly outplaying what Williams gave us last year. Davis is a new man it seems and already has 3 sacks (he had 3 career sacks coming into 2025). Carter hasn't been as good as last year, but Davis and Ojomo are offsetting that. Young and Robinson aren't adding much, but the top 3 are dominating (sadly, we only have one more year with these 3 as no way we will be able to resign Ojomo at this point). Adding BG and Nolan to the mix, along with Hunt (who played his best game of the year and has been dominating) and Uche; maybe Ojulari is headed for the PS at this point, but he showed some juice before getting hurt. Basically, we have no need to add on the DL at this point.I get the Giants don't have much of a passing threat, but I didn't love that Dean played so much more than Campbell and seemingly was out there in nickel. When Nolan and BG rejoin the roster, hopefully Campbell can go back to LB and play in nickel packages with Dean in base. Dean is great against the run, but Campbell is so much better in coverage - Campbell wouldn't have given up that completion.Again, it was the Giants without Nabers, but...the secondary was fantastic. Even...Ringo? I can't remember them even throwing at Kelee. Q and Coop were excellent, and yes that was obvious OPI. But Daboll's meltdown was epic.Yes, it should have been a fumble on Hurts. But they also screwed us on the bad spot (he had the 1st). And that was a strip sack fumble by Uche before the OPI call. This was a terribly officiated game all the way around, but the media will cry for NY.6-2 at the bye is something we all would have signed up for before the season given the schedule (which remains brutal after the bye). At least a 2 game lead in the division (pending tonight), and all 3 of the teams look like garbage. The 1 seed will be tough given the schedule, but beat GB and Detroit out of the bye, and who knows. But I feel better after the 8th game of 2025 than I did after 8 games last year (barely held on to beat a terrible Jags team to get to 6-2 last year). With all the issues -- running game, injuries, etc. we are 6-2 and have the best wins in the NFL. And hopefully we are hitting our stride. Somehow, this roster may prove to be better than last year when all is said and done, which is bananas.

That's rookie SOP. Some good, some bad.Trust the coaches to get more good and less bad. Trust the player to learn the speed of the NFL and adjust. Mukuba has shown flashes. He may not be the stud we got with Mitchell and Dejean, but he's much better than some of the bums of the past we've drafted to play S, and that includes Brown.

I wouldn't mind that, though. BG could tear his tri again and Smith is always hurt. Another player for depth wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm getting to the point where I think the healthiest team/most depth between the Eagles, Packers, Rams, and Lions are going to the SB. That's probably the team that gets the BYE.
