Most likely Dotson was first in the progression, he was the 1 on 1 against zero blitz and made the throw. Doubt he ever looked at Smith. It happens. Dotson was being covered by a PS corner.

He should have gone through all 4 progressions and taken the 8 yard sack so we could call him a stupid idiot for taking the sack!

I like the no call on #3. Jalen wasn't giving himself up, he was going for yards and lowered his shoulder. You have a point that Mahomes would get the flag, but I think that's just bad officiating. It should be equal no flags regardless of the player. The spot was comically bad though.

The block in the back call was bad. The netural zone infraction call was bad as Mailata clearly false started. I feel like they got maybe 1 or 2 calls right the entire game.

That's the same play he got in the Bengals playoff game before the SB

It was a beatdown, the refs didn't rush for 270 - if the NYG fans are fixated on a couple calls they missed the game.

The Eagles (and every team in the league) get screwed by bad calls. It seems to me that Eagles fans don't overly fixate on the bad calls to say they cost them the game, rather acknowledge that bad calls happen to both teams and to all teams because the refs are inconsistent. And Eagles fans are the first to acknowledge the other reasons they lost the game regardless of the refs.

Giants fans had their Super Bowl beating us a few weeks ago and came back down to earth and are coping about as well as Daboll was on the sidelines.

You said it was "much harder than it should've been" and said that he missed Devonta open and should have thrown it to him. You are being critical of the guy on a play where he threw a TD. If you don't realize you are throwing shade at him then you don't understand what it is to shade someone.

Dotson made a great play to catch the TD. I never said he missed DeVonta. I said DeVonta could have walked in. That means IF he was thrown the ball. There was zero criticism in my initial post. I'm not throwing shade, you're just trying to find it.

I think generally fans gripe too much about officiating but even I will admit that was one of the worst officiated games I've seen in some time.

The overturned Dart fumble was a fumble. It feels like they just wanted to give Giants a make up call for the other bizarrely officiated tush push fumble. Then you also have the mystery whistle on Jake's FG miss that was never explained and numerous bad calls and no calls for both teams.

The Dart fumble shouldn't have even come to the fumble part, as he was "in the grasp" of the defender for a good 3 seconds before even attempting to throw. It should've been a sack, so they botched that play twice by not calling him in the grasp and then by calling what followed an incomplete pass.

Obviously the entire world is talking about the fumble, but none mention that the play prior should've been a first down anyway.

It's bonkers anyone is arguing that the OPI wasn't OPI because Q was grabbing his jersey at the end. Why did he have to grab on? Because he was pushed off of.

The most egregious call outside of the fumble was the neutral zone infraction where mailata very clearly moved, didn’t even need slow mo to see it like people do for the tush push.

It's just hilarious to see people call the eagles the refs'/league's favorite team when it is so very obvious the league hates this team lol. How many league golden children get openly rooted against by broadcasting teams? Literally every week we're getting crapped on by the booth, every no-call in our favor gets scrutinized, every no-call that hurts us gets explained as to why it was a good no-call.

As you continue to speak out of both sides of your mouth. Whatever......

Trade proposal

AJ Brown for Trey Hendrickson.

Eagles get their DE. Brown has to play behind Chase and Higgins with Flacco.

OT but dude...

^^^^

That's amazing

Hurts pulls the trigger and gives his WR an opportunity to make a play:

"Hurts is lucky that wasn't picked."

You seem triggered

Where did I say the first part?

He is lucky it wasn't picked. It was underthrown and Dotson made a great play

I like the idea of building leads with Saquon, and closing games out with Tank... but we only have a small sample size of running success to this point.

What's with the new and popular catch phrase on here "you seem triggered"? It keeps popping up in people's posts. I know what ot means, but why is it being used? It's redundant. Our entire community of what, 52 Eagle fans, seem to be in a constant triggered state of mind.

This is not the day to be complaining about bad calls. Giants were screwed over and over in that game.

I disagree. I can't recall them all but I remember saying "we got lucky there" a bunch of times.

A little sensitive huh? We were gonna win that game regardless, I didn't say we won because of bad calls.

yeah, i'm the sensitive one.

Are you sure it's 52?

The bad calls were all over the place against both teams yesterday:

  1. On the Giants first TD, Dean was held and basically tackled on the blitz

  2. A whistle clearly blew on Jake's FG attempt (ball in air), should have been a do over

  3. Jalen clearly had a first down on the scramble (Mahomes gets the flag for the late hit, Jalen doesn't)

  4. It was a fumble by Jalen on the ensuing brotherly shove

  5. That was clearly a strip sack fumble by Uche

  6. It was a GOOD CALL on the OPI on Slayton

Of course, the media will only talk about 4 and 6.

You can add a very clear hold on Carter earlier in the Giants first TD drive. It was third down and Dart scrambled to the right. Carter even looks super frustrated after the play is over. Aaaand, Dart clearly starts sliding before the first down mark; should have been fourth down.

No, that's not right. I just went back and looked at it three or four times. The spot was correct. Hurts had the ball in his left hand and it was extended and behind him and never got close to the line of gain.

As for the call, Hurts was hit about 1/2 yard OOB (again, I just rewatched it three or four times). It is pretty bang bang but hitting a guy (QB or not) outside of the field of play is a penalty by definition. It is close and you could argue giving the defender the benefit of the doubt but I think it should have been a penalty.

Good for Dotson to get his rare look and scored a TD. He has been running to stretch the field or blocking for the teammates.

Another high point is Tank for his carries and gained more than 100 yards. Always think that rookies need to get on the field and gain game experience. Coaches have to treat them to play them, even some mistakes are inevitable. Tank's gains were on the expenses of Dillons who was dressed but did not play. The vet has seen no action in the last 2 games.

The overthrown angle on the Hurts TD is BS. It was a 50/50 ball with less than optimal placement so it was like a 40/60 ball.

Pretending it was a horrific throw is just more delusion in and endless wave of delusion.

It was underthrown. Two yards further downfield it would have been a 90/10 ball. No need to contort yourself to defend every ding against Hurts. He had a great game.

I really don't get when expedited review is appropriate and when you need to challenge. Collinsworth asked this last night on SNF, and Terry's explanation was kind of a word salad. If it's clear and obvious they use expedited review -- but aren't all overturned calls supposed to be clear and obvious?

The shortcoming of expedited review is that they can't drop a flag. Only confirm or reverse calls already made. If one is missed, it stays missed.

Would you rather I said provoked?

I really don't want them calling in from NY to call penalties after the fact - if we think the game is disjointed now, imagine a flag coming out 30 seconds later. Just get better officials on the field already.

Agree with those bad calls identified. If I were a Giants fan I’d have been upset at the DPI on that Darius Cooper pass. Thought that was a very iffy call. Much more so than the Slayton OpI which wax legit
