Absolutely! He did not spit towards the ground. It was clear as day on the replay with the camera directly behind Carter. Dak even said I had to spit so I spit over my lineman's shoulder. That would also obviously mean he's spitting into the air. That's in no way, shape or form spitting "at the ground".

He gave him a little tug, nothing beyond the pale for the last couple minutes of the game. Players have to make plays at that point in the game, and not rely on officials to make borderline calls. Just how professional football has worked forever… maybe not SB LVII.

The worst call of the night was the taunting on Nolan. So ridiculous for that circumstance, national TV week 1 with a rivalry game....so soft.

Definitely a real game… but while Fangio was digging into his playbook with a lot pressures to offset the loss of JC, the offense was a bit vanilla as it lacked pre-snap motion, screen game, pin pull features to the run game, etc.

Hiding behind lineman and spitting is a **** move

Garafolo: It was officially 53 total defensive snaps for Jordan Davis, the second most in a game in his career (62 vs. the #Bills in 2023, though his 87% last night was much higher than the 65% of a possible 95 snaps against Buffalo). Davis added nine snaps on special teams last night.

Things I liked:

Jordon Davis played well.

Defense pitched a 2nd half shutout with all 2nd half stops being key/important stops.

Throws to the RBs

The screen to Shipley.

Hurts

Rodgers definitely should have been signed. If they thought it too big a risk to sign the older Slay, ok, but then don’t leak out to Philly reporters that "We couldn’t afford them, we have guys we have to sign” because it was always laughable. I was just tired of hearing that all offseason every time they made a questionable move. It was either "we couldn’t afford to keep them!” Or "it’s all we could afford!” And then they try to trade for a player making just shy of 50m per.

Ultimately the defense gave up 20pts and each of those scoring drives had a major penalty assist. The offense scored on every drive in the first half. And really none of it means much beyond the win. 1-0.

Dallas first TD was a hold by Guyton against Baun, guyton clearly reached out and grabbed Bauns shoulder as Baun was running by him and turned Bauns body

Even immediately after the hold you can see guyton drop his head and kinda sheepishly walk to the celebration, like a kid trying to be invisible after getting caught, of course refs swallowed their whistles, it was an easy call especially with how loose the refs were on the other side with calling eagles for PI.

But offensive holding isnt really a point of emphasis but yeah Dallas holds a lot on offense.

Passing game was total ass.... again

CB 2 jackson is ass, his coverage was pretty bud but his run support was atrocious, the long run by Sanders he leflopped it was bad.

I dont think AJ is 100% and not sure why patullo had smitty running 3 yard outs all game🤔
