This wasn’t a decision they’ve made for the better of their future months ago. If so they wouldn’t have waited til a week before the season to do it. This was trade was because Jerry Jones‘s ego

That trade may or may not ultimately work out, but it wasn’t done to betterment KD the team and more cause of poor negotiations by Jerry. He’s using the excuse after the fact to say it’s going to make us better long term Meanwhile he had for months been trying to get a contract done.

Also, I would have traded him to the Raiders over GB. I don’t know what the Raiders offer was, but if it was close to the Packers, I would’ve taken it. Furthermore schefter after it got done on sportscenter said he talked to multiple other GMs saying they’d have offered more than what Jerry got if they came calling or knew he was actually available via trade. To me, I’m not trading him in the conference because I don’t wanna see him if and when I get to the point of being a contender. Secondly, I don’t think even with Micah Parsons that the Raiders were going to be a very good team this year. They’re probably gonna be at the middle of the pack so that pick would’ve been more beneficial.

Frankly that trade didn’t materialize for the betterment of the long term future. It materialized cause Jerry pissed off micah and his agent and now using a betterment of the long term future after the fact he failed in his negotiation tactics. It might ultimately be beneficial to the ultimate success of Dallas in the future but that trade didn’t occur for that reason. It occurred cause Jerry’s negotiations failed, pissed off a player and agent that led into them making the decision to trade him for picks which may or may not ultimately wind up being better for them

I am not concerned about a Jalen Carter extension. They can pay him. And if they tire of his antics, they can trade him. As long as he is so dominant, there will be teams lining up for him thinking their culture will be the right fit, and that they have the guys who can keep him in line.

A psychologist for Carter cpuld be a terrible move. You need him to have that fire in him.

Carter's action was foolish and hurt the defense. The team should fine him as notice against the poor judgement and unacceptable behaviors.

Without Carter, the DL was not effective. Zero sack for the entire defense. The lone fumble take-away was the highlight and injected some live on the defense.

Surprise AJ only got one target and catch. Was it by design or how the plays went? They need to use more pass plays, as the defense will stuff the box to stop Barkley. A better balance will make the offense more effective.

The secondary needs to shore up more. Not just CB2, even the rising stars from last season were subpar last night.

Season opener may be the reason. Let's hope the coaches and players can get things fix up and have better performance rest the way.

Carter has a few screws loose, he seems to be highly impulsive and could benefit from a therapy that could help him decrease that impulsivity and make better choices that dont negatively impact his team.

Think they really needed to get to halftime. Carter getting ejected happened right before the first defensive snap of the game. They had no time to adjust and doing it on the fly. They got some breaks in the second half but for the most part outside of the sanders long run they were much better

When I first joined I thought it was hysterical, the term and the way you guys use it...Like @vikas83 the other day talking about Group 7 being the poors...I assume he flies AA a lot. I do as well (group 2), the crowding around the gates is frustrating as a frequent flier, and to hear him reference the poors made me laugh. You guys are so damn funny.

Its not just a running joke that Lurie is cash strapped, but also Vikas really does have almost all of the dollars and leaves precious few for anyone else. Its well documented he wears 500 dollar polos. Im surprised he mingled so closely with a poor like Lurie, and even Brandon Graham.

I avoid AA like the plague, but it's the only way to get to Philly. Same as Dallas, Philly is an AA hub.

No contract. Jerry called Micahs bluff, period. He then decided screw it, trade him now. Micah wanted to come back to the table, Jerry said no thanks, you wanted a trade, here you go.

Was it smart, well, no, that is obvious. Am I defending either side, not necessarily. I am just glad it is over and they got some compensation for him which is what i stated here last year a few times.

I get some of those runs aren’t even to his side. But i really don’t love Pickens as a player. I think he has a loser type mentality.

I view it this way Jerry Jones is using the excuse that he did it for the betterment of the Cowboys. If that were true, this would’ve been done months ago and more teams would’ve been involved because they could’ve maneuvered the cap situation to get more teams involved and allow more demand to get more back in that trade. This strictly comes down to Jerry Jones wanted it done on his terms and on his conditions. It’s why when Parsons came back to him he said play on the fifth year contract or we’re trading you. Again this goes back to Jerry Jones‘s ego is the reason this trade happened. Whether or not it works out is secondary to the main reason of why it happened.
