I like uniforms because well, uniformity. I'm all for adding a bit of personality and individuality to your uniform (used to be as simple as your number or initials on a towel), but we've reached a point where teams just look sloppy.Take the Eagles for instance. Traditionally, they were a white football cleat team. The Eagles 90 or 91 team wore black cleats I believe at the request of Jerome Brown, but otherwise they wore white cleats up until 2003. When TO came on board they became a black cleat team. Every player wore black cleats. That changed somewhere around 2016/17, which is also around the time the all white socks look became a thing. Now the Eagles have players wearing white, black and green cleats. They don't match. It sounds silly and nitpicky, but it used to be a thing and matching from head to toe made everyone look like they were part of the same team. Perfect example here from Thursday night. Some guys in white cleats, some in black cleats. some in white spats, some in black spats. The white sock epidemic has made it even worse. Some guys wear tights, some wear socks over tights, some wear short tights with short socks. Just look at Campbell and Calcaterra. Some don't give a crap and won't even notice, while others like me can look at this and instantly see an issue. There's a reason the NFLCompare the Cowboys game to pictures in 2004. Now as I'm typing that, it's hard to believe that's 21 years ago, but one team looks uniform, and one team looks sloppy. I'm curious if this still hangs in every NFL locker room. Used to be right by the door before you went on the field. Sorry, I could write a book about the evolution of the uniform and equipment, or the downfall of the uniform in modern football.

That's a big reason why so many were mad at the Cracker Barrell re-design. It was probably an overreaction, but the interiors went from a down home cozy feel to an all-white sterile Chip and Joanna living room feel. Same thing happened to College Football Final. It's a really weird thing going on. Plain, boring, no life etc.

Sunday at 05:08 PM4 days Why is there some nobody called Cordell Flott making plays at CB for the Giants and we have Jackson looking like your grandma covering out there?
Sunday at 05:09 PM4 days Ertz just dropped the game. Giants gonna go score and show Washington theyre too old and their time is over.

Sunday at 05:12 PM4 days Loving how on youtube TV you can do this multi view thing. On the Giants/Washingon commercial, I brought up the Pittsburgh game on multi view. So now I have 2 commercial breaks playing simultaneously. But I imagine there may come a time where I can catch some plays in another game while I wait, without flipping away from the channel I want and missing plays in this game.
Sunday at 05:13 PM4 days well that was a stupid 1st play by the giants. I was kinda excited to watch them today. bad start

Due to playing the stock market on borrowed money, plus a worldwide depression, the market crashed. The lack of jobs meant able bodied workers couldn’t find jobs. Pensions didn’t exist for workers until after WWII, so people worked until the dropped back then. The idea was to encourage the eldest of workers to retire with a government pension (social security) funded by the current workforce on a go forward basis. That opened up jobs and started the nation toward recovery. Now the drought fluctuated throughout the 1930s which led to ebb and flow in the economy. We, as a people, allowed for many government programs that provided jobs as well, like the CCC. Businesses had their own kind of support very similar to 2008.Historically, droughts have had a profound impact on our economy. The 1870s were worse than the 1930s. Look at the impact disease/vermin have had on crops recently (avian flu and the price of eggs) and drought (herd sell off and the price of beef), for example.Given you years of service and retirement pension, I would suggest reading on Hoover, the Bonus Army in f WWI vets, and how MacArthur with support from Patton were used in response.Thank you Blog for letting me discuss some history. You are most welcome. What Hoover, MacArthur, and Patton did was beyond disgraceful. It was criminal.
