Williams reminds me of Joe "747” Adams, who played in the CFL 40 years ago. He had a rocket for an arm but couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn — much less an open WR. They both just zing the ball around with no touch at all.

Adams was inducted last year into the Black College Hall of Fame, and NFL Radio did an interview feature with him. He is a really well-spoken guy and very interesting interview.

I think his bigger issue is that he doesn’t play within the confines of Johnson’s system and has zero timing. Rarely does he pull the trigger at the top of his drop and within the design of the play. He’ll scramble around trying to make things happen, and there will be times where you can get the big play out of that. But that isn’t sustainable. Goff executed that offense perfectly because he was decisive and let it rip. Caleb is too gun-shy looking to extend the play. It’s the same thing he did in college.

Love the Tank trade. Hope that doesn’t mean Shipley broke ribs and is going to IR.

I noted in the snap count that like BVS, McWilliams only played one ST snap. Suggests injury. tomorrow should reveal who is hurt to some extent.

I wonder if Howie has been trying to pull off a Bigsby trade, and the Shipley injury pushed him over the edge. Kinda rare to see him give up 2 picks with none coming back. They must really like his potential behind Hurts and the OL.

An interesting part about moving DeJean to outside corner will be the deal he gets for his second contract with outside corners making significantly more than slots. I don’t think this comes into play with Roseman because if he’s worth top tier money, he’ll do it. But not sure what their cap situation will be down the line after Carter gets his mega deal and having to take care of Quinyon too.

I heard that mentioned but if DeJean can be a great outside CB then they should play him there. But I’m not sure he’d be a great outside CB. I think he’s better suited to where he is

He has a lot of ability but he is not a good QB yet for sure.

The criteria The Lead Commander gave about why Howell would be a stud starter. But he's ours now! @paco

Loved Tank Bigsby in the draft, don't like this trade. A 5th and 6th for a backup RB and KR is too much as it is. Add in the fact that the 5th could be become a 4th and that's just an overpayment. If the stupid beat writers covering the team are right (which I don't think they are) this move was only made for KR and he will be the 3rd or 4th RB which would make it horrendous.

The two issues go hand-in-hand. Johnson gambled on 4th and 3 in the first half and dialed up a quick slant to Moore. Goff would make that throw 9 times out of 10. Williams was nowhere close to on-target with the throw. There were a half-dozen throws tonight where Bears receivers couldn’t even make an attempt at it.

Williams is a chicken salad QB; his skill set has always been make chicken salad out of the chicken crap he made himself by not running the play as called.

Idk about worth the money but he played well on Sunday

I'm guessing GMs are making him pay so they don't get taken by him. It is still a questionable move. If they had a good CB2 or a guard who could come in and play better than what we saw Thursday I wouldn't mind as much. Heck, I wouldn't even mind a good young TE to replace DG next year. RB and KR are way down the list, especially with a 4th round pick possibly coming into play. They must see something so fingers crossed.

The nice thing is they do have some depth there now.

Speaking of trades with how good Booker played this weekend I sure hope Bennett becomes a player.

Weird trade

It has been reported that the 5th is our pick and we have retained the 5th from the Niners.

Part of Booker playing so well is that the other Raiders DTs are really bad, so Booker stands out.

I hope the Eagles never get this officiating crew.

And now, of course, they will be our crew this Sunday!

Unless there's a big long term injury to Shipley or maybe one of the other RB's, I don't get the Bigsby trade at all, Saquon, Dillon and Shipley looked more than enough at Tailback, with Shipley covering KR

It looks like trading for tradings sake.

If you have a chance to get better then you take it.

Maybe it’s smoke and mirrors? Howie wants to make enough moves to make us forget about the glaring hole at CB…

Spending two picks to get a bit better at RB2/3 is nonsense.

Late 5th and 6th round picks aren’t all that valuable, especially given the glut of picks the Eagles have next season. They aren’t going to be able to roster all those players with those draft picks.

He was a big reason I won my money league 2 years ago. He had a 5 game hot streak and then I switched to Fields lol

I’m just hoping our OL is healthy going into week 2. Dickerson and Mailata both looked gimpy at times.

Unless they now know that Dillon cant be rb1 in the event that saquon is out.

Preemptive TE move incoming? Granson is expendable, and with nobody on the roster next year it is an eventual need.
