Did Dak get any fine? Be great if they gave him one game suspension now

Against the giants I think they would be ok

Coop's natural fit is at safety, but he's just so freakishly athletic and instinctive that he can play pretty much any position in the defensive backfield.

Agreed 100%.

With that said the Nickel/Rover/Monster in Fangio’s light box 4-2-5 scheme is just as much a Safety as a CB … a close to the box Safety who has plus plus coverage skills.

Seems like a match to me

Hate to derail the football conversation here, but I have a dating question for the Blog. Have been out of the dating scene for a while now. Self-induced. Other priorities.

But I feel like I met future Mrs.Iggles25 last week. The odds of our encounter were extraordinarily low. We've been on two dates. She is moving to NC from Long Island in 2026. She leaves for Long Island tomorrow and won't be back until November.

Question: Will sex on the third date ruin this thing? That's were it's heading. I am on the absolute fence here. I've seen it play out both ways.

Make fun if you will. My siblings and friends give me conflicting answers. Feel like there is quite the cross section of knowledgable minds here. I don't want to screw this one up.

Several minds...yes. Knowledgeable....maybe.

I wouldn't do the sex on the third date because you think you have to. I'd open up about how you are optimistic about this relationship and get her feelings on the pace of intimacy. Be open and avoid misinterpreting expectations.

Pin her down and tell her she isn't going anywhere

@FranklinFldEBUpper do you agree?

If it weren't for the power of Drew Rosenhaus ready to go to war with the league for his client then I bet they would have suspended him. This battle must have been taking place behind the scenes as the reason this all took this long for it to be announced.

When it's your time for release just yell "GO BIRDS". Hope this helps and I'll be here all week

With regards to the Tank trade...I like it for the Eagles. Those late picks are simply worth less to us than anyone else given how many we have. And stacking up on RBs, given how this team functions, is also worth more to us.

BUT...face value...it's true that it was meh value. For all of Howie's reputation as this negotiator that holds the rest of the league hostage, we've seen time and time again that...once training camp starts....he does NOT prioritize winning on value when trading picks for players. He's willing to overpay.

If you are a GM and Howie calls on draft day or the offseason, you probably shouldn't pick up. If he calls during the season, you might want to listen.

I can't really think of the last in-season trade he's made that worked out for the better. Maybe Ajayi in 2017? Tate had the game-winning catch in the playoff game against the Bears, but neither Ajayi nor him were long-term contributors. These are trades that he's making more so out of desperation so the leverage isn't there. The whole league knows they need a CB2 so I wouldn't expect him to fleece anyone if Jackson and Bennett prove to be useless.

Even Spotrac is confused about this trade.

This was my suspicion from the game without re-watching (what Patullo said, not whoever Shane Haff is). I don't think it's coach speak; I think it was honesty.

In the first half, the Cowboys, somewhat surprisingly, seemed to set back in zone coverage and did not stack the box. It was effective in wiping Brown/Smith out of the game AND in avoiding the patented Barkley 50 yard runs. But Hurts, Patullo/Siri, and Barkley were very patient. They relentlessly took smaller chunks in the running game, with Hurts' legs, and the short passing game. There were no big plays whatsoever, but they were patient, relentless, and they scored every possession. It was surgical and disciplined...and perfect.

In the second half, the OL couldn't block. Steen mostly does his job in pass pro but isn't generating movement in the running game. Dickerson and Mailata were hobbled and weren't doing anything to make lanes for Barkley.

At that point, the deep coverage was already working going back to the first half and now Dallas didn't have to worry about giving anything up on the ground. Boom. No adjustments or changes really even needed to be made for them on D and our offense completely stopped scoring.

I think Hurts generally took what he was given, made the plays that could be made, and Patullo/Siri did everything they could with the calls and matchups to maximize their points.

I really have no complaints aside to say that the offense is cooked if the left side of the OL doesn't get healthy. And if they do, they'll be fine.

While I agree with everything you say here, there were plays to be had on inside runs. I posted on a sequence of three plays a day or two ago and the first one was an inside zone where Lane didn’t block anybody. Had he doubled the DT with Steen, Steen could then have come off the double to block the MLB and Saquon would have been gone. Instead, no one blocked the MLB and Saquon made an incredible move to get past him and gained five yards. That was almost certainly one of the plays Patullo was talking about.

My breakdown was on 9/6 and it’s page 187 on my iPhone if you’re interested

I don't get waiving Gabe Hall at all.

I don't gamble, but is there a bet in one of those apps for the odds that Mahomes and/or Travis Kelce try to bait Carter into a penalty? Because that will definitely happen.

My two cents is don't overthink it. If the vibe says go, you go. If murky, pull back BUT give some sugar if you go that route. Don't just throttle back.

Found good success with that whole reluctant to go but really wanna go, but should we yet or maybe later, but it has to be all passion infused, not analytical. But its dicey. Can't come off wishy washy.

I know, this is probably no f'ing help at all. Welcome to dating, again. 🤣

I don’t really look at punters on other teams other than when they play us. So I can’t really say anything about the other guys. Mann did have a good game the other night.

Jalen Hurts will take the 3-2 series lead over Mahomes in their career matchups. The true top QB rivalry in the league. I don't even think there is another QB in the league who has played Mahomes multiple times that is tied with Mahomes or has a winning record over him.

At the very least Mahomes will have an overly dramatic flop and get up limping if Carter breaths on him at any point.

Maybe I am overthinking or wishful thinking this but it seems to me that the Eagles have been told that Carter will not be suspended and therefore they felt they could let Hall go, at least for the moment.
