And wants to be one of the greats, but his QB isnt helping him accumulate states to prove that he is, of course he is going to be upset.Meh, you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. There isn't any issue here. Get back to us after 6 or 7 games.

Id be pretty happy to get to that.We saw the same thing last year and when we needed to pass we did just fine. The Steelers game is a good example. The SB another. We can say 175yrds and that's good enough for me if we are winning. Just win baby!

I only began responding since someone else posted a different vid yesterday and implied everything is peachy. Which, it is not. I will say again, Siri is an incredible coach. To be able to take a player with that emotion, which is completely justified, and keep getting him to put his goals and feelings aside and just say the right things for the team over and over again.

Good enough if we win, is a different discussion from calling it a lot of yards. Also another discussion was that I just wish we didnt have to feel uneasy about IF the passing game will be good enough each week.Last week it was not good enough, but luckily we were able to run the ball for the 1st half. When we couldnt run the ball anymore, the passing game did not pick up the slack. It needs to be able to do that. As you said, it did last year. So why not in week 1?

Not something to worry about after one game.

No goalpost moving. You can put it (yards passing average) wherever you want and the answer will be the same.

And Im not complaining about winning. Its just a bit nauseating to sit by and see people talk about 150, or 175 yards as a lot of yards, which happened in here yesterday. So I said something. And all of the jumpy Hurts supporters jumped all over it. Which is ridiculous because clearly I am right. That is not a lot of yards. When you begin defending that crazy comment by saying, it was enough to win- that moves the goalposts. Thats a completely different conversation.
September 13Sep 13 We all want to see more passing, more touches to Brown and Smitty, I think that's important not for stats, but for a more balanced offense, keeping stars fed, and to keep the defenses off balance. We had this discussion all of last season, and there were times they achieved more in the pass game. They went on to dominate in the playoffs and win a SB that way...but teams will be studying that film and approach them differently so we'll see how the offense counters as well.

Then the whole trade crap which was more absurd nonsense. But for some reason, hope it's nothing, but after his relationship with Jalen changing last year and then not getting the ball from time to time last year and then game 1, plus he being in his prime and wanting to be a focal point and leader, a minute feeling crept into my head for the very first time, that I wonder if it could be possible. Of course I don't want that and I don't think it's anything to worry about much yet, but I always felt there was 0% chance of it happening, however the past couple of days it went up to 1%, maybe even 2? Again, nothing to worry about right now but it was the first time I felt that way during his entire Eagle career which surprised me.

There was no media narrative. Just listen to his words. Watch his delivery and how he struggles to hold back and not say anything too inflammatory but still be honest. Hes not a diva. Hes just a guy who is having his individual career extremely held back by poor QBing but trying to be happy with JUST team goals being achieved. Its easy for fans to say thats all that matters. But its very natural for competitors, elite athlets at that to have significant personal goals as well. And AJ Brown is being forced to try to forget all about that.He could probably be getting 1800 yards and double digit TDs on most other teams.
September 13Sep 13 @mattwill Eagles: 27Chiefs: 17Bonus: someone other than Hurts, Brown, Smith, Barkley, Goedert scores a TD.
September 13Sep 13 We're talking a QB who has had two of the best PASSING performances in 2 SBs of all time. Now that's not a huge sample, but if Hurts can light it up under the biggest pressure situation, he can light it up on a regular basis. But what was the situation, 1st game, 5 new starters on defense, your top defensive player gets tossed. So game plan was obviously shorten the game, they didn't know how many snaps Davis could handle.Shorten game, 10-15 fewer snaps on offense, more conservative, run out the clock drives. This ain't rocket science.

He's one of my favorite players on this team. I love his attitude, passion, wear his heart on his sleeve, not give f what anyone else thinks personality. Plus his drive to be the best and on the field play too obviously. I would flat out hate trading him. But we are a run first team and these situations are going to happen and continue to. He is one of our captains which says a lot about his stance on this team and I'm sure Siri would be dead set against it. But there is a feeling in my head and gut which I never had before, hopefully it's absolutely nothing and just an incorrect over thought on my part.

Same for a QB who is on a 17 game winning streak and getting 200 yards passing and 50 yards rushing a game with minimal turnovers. Just win baby!seems the Phillies have no problem with Schwarber. If someone actually watched the games, he'd notice that Hurts has this habit of making the big throw consistently when needed, like that throw to Dotson, perfect strike.A lot of QBs who put up gaudy statistics seem to fall short with the game on the line.

And AJ Brown is being forced to try to forget all about that. He's also been open about his mental health struggles. Some people wear their heart on their sleeve, express their emotions or vent frustrations immediately in the moment and then later gain some clarity and calm down. Jason Kelce used to flirt with retirement for a couple seasons, even questioning if his heart is still in it. Lane Johnson has given some varying answers about retirement. These people are human beings. They play a physically demanding sport, and being a pro athlete has a lot of pressure so there's mental and emotional stress as well. Add on top of that someone with mental health issues and taking a sound byte immediately after a game can be unfair. All of us as humans have vented frustration or said something out loud that we were processing, but maybe didn't really mean. Or meant it at the time based on feelings, but later as we calmed down and gained clarity, had a more balanced view. I personally hate that they are required to do media immediately after the game. The coaches and QB have to give a press conference. After a loss especially, who the hell wants to sit there and get interrogated? Plus the media are baiting to get juicy stuff for their story or twitter quotes. Everyone that knows AJ Brown speaks highly of him, teammates and coaches. Being in Nashville, I met a security guard who works for the Titans and when Brown was here he was assigned to his personal security and got to know him. He said he's such a nice guy, family man, really cares for his friends and is very loyal, just a great person.

Just a couple really good possession guys. And it would help Howie with the cap keeping the rest of it together. Not condoning trading our guys. Just saying...

We complain about it literally every year.
September 13Sep 13 Author Was listening to Z Berman on a podcast. He described the Eagles roster being without a "middle class". Stars on big contracts along with players on either rookie or one-year deals. With this in mind, I am starting to think that Blankenship won't be resigned. If spending money on CJGJ or Rodgers doesn't fit into their model, then keeping Reed on another deal would have to be the exception.

I suspect a player like Epps will be the bridge next year while Vic trains up another Day 2 pick.
