I thought he was already there? I don't remember any steps towards him. I could see it as a taunting if he walked towards him. They changed the spiking years ago so players that still do it have to move away before spiking

He walked towards him to stand over him. I'm completely shocked at how many people disagree with the penalty.

Have we? The revolving door has the same type of OC hasn't it?

That argument that Hurts does what others don't is win is an odd thing to claim to when it's a team attribute. It'd be better IMO if people praised his work ethic more than trying to use a team state to claim he's better than other QBs

The core fundamentals have largely stayed the same for sure. Though that argument is there that he’s shown he’s somewhat scheme diverse.

I like that about work ethic. His ability to see things and adjust has definitely improved greatly since he came into the league. Though I mainly meant drive as synonymous with winning. Perhaps should have used that word instead.

It takes less than a second for a player to make a big play, and the emotion after it is just as quick. Expecting them to control every reaction is crazy. These are human beings, not machines. Unless it gets physical, let them celebrate. Football isn’t meant to be robotic.

If it were up to me, I’d encourage players to do DX suck it taunts and would give Von Miller unlimited hip thrusting time

Dead leg. He’s been fighting through it for a long time.

Oof, tbh thought Polk would be decent - but the Patriots and highly drafted WRs don’t mix.

I was never impressed by Polk. Liked McMillan better.

He wasn’t particularly gifted, but I thought his saviness might translate. McMillan seems to be developing well at TB, good call.

Any word on Diggs talkin trash to Hurts?

@mattwill I think you missed mine

I agree, but who was responsible for that? Hazleton blames it on Hurts, probably because he doesn't like the kind of QB Hurts is. I'm more inclined to blame it on Patullo. I didn't see in Thursday's game the Patullo that I saw in the first two Preseason games.

I'm not in a position to cast blame, only to observe the problem.

That left hook is a disqualification act. That fine is light for that act.

Bruised ego.

They actually fined him for taunting?? That was such a BS penalty on Smith

I missed the hipdrop tackle. Didn't realize he did that

NFL is weak. But at least they are raising funds for charity. blink

I posted his vid on Friday and havent said anything about it since. I only began responding since someone else posted a different vid yesterday and implied everything is peachy. Which, i believe it is not. I will say again, Siri is an incredible coach. To be able to take a player with that emotion, which is completely justified, and keep getting him to put his goals and feelings aside and just say the right things for the team over and over again.

I fixed your post.

"His goals” … AJ has said many times that the highest goal is winning the Super Bowl, bar none. He went even further to say that riding the crest of that past SB win is not in his DNA. He was very clear that his current highest goal is laser sighted on winning this year’s SB.

Goalposts are moving again on this one too. Good enough if we win, is a different discussion from calling it a lot of yards.

Also another discussion was that I just wish we didnt have to feel uneasy about IF the passing game will be good enough each week.

Last week it was not good enough, but luckily we were able to run the ball for the 1st half. When we couldnt run the ball anymore, the passing game did not pick up the slack. It needs to be able to do that. As you said, it did last year. So why not in week 1?
