Yeah I don't think Brown will follow that trajectory. His skill set, strength, speed, body, hands are all better than Alshon's was - even at Alshon's peak - and he seems to take better care of himself. Hopefully we can look back on these posts in a few weeks and laugh them off.

Jeffrey lost about 25% of it at age 25.

he went from a 1250 and 10 guy to an 800 and 7 guy.

He fell off the cliff at 29/30 and he was in nowhere near the peak physical shape that AJ keeps himself in.

I think this is just a hamstring thing that needs a bit more time to heal.

I'm not going to pretend to know what he will be at 33 but I'm not worried about 28 to 30.

I think/hope so, but it’s just unpredictable for everyone.

I edited my other post to mention Agholor, who was playing even last year for the Ravens….he wasn’t even good at his peak. But he was a pretty agile and reliable route runner.

Anquan Boldin was never fast…he didn’t have much speed to lose, but he enjoyed fantastic longevity. TO…basically the rich and psychotic man’s AJ Brown, aged extremely well on the field.

I don’t know what makes that burst to decide to leave the body at different ages…let’s just hope it’s not gone for AJ. Because when it’s gone, it’s gone.

Different sport, but the one that makes me the most sad was Roy Halladay. Went from best pitcher in baseball to average-at-best starter to out of baseball in a year.

Early season games are all over the place - doozies like this one and score-a-thons like the Cowboys/Giants game was earlier.

Jeffrey also had some of the worst hands in the NFL.

He cost Nick Foles a pair of playoff picks.

In the SB he hot potatoed the ball to Duron Harmon (yes, Gilmore was DPI grabbing the other arm)

He perfectly deflected the ball to Lattimore in the red zone with the Eagles driving late in the 4th.

@eagle45 It was great having all those awesome pitchers from 2009-2012 or so. Its a real shame they did not win another WS.

They were good enough but did not deliver.

Watching a lot of games i think the 3 worst teams in the league are probably the panthers, bears and dolphins. browns are bad but i just think ravens are good and they nearly won week prior. Lack of talent on the Saints but they’ve played hard both games and been both. Titans were in it against the broncos and today for a half with the rams.

Will JJ have enough garbage time to get the yards and TD he needs for another NARRATIVE NFC PLAYER OF THE WEEK?

Probably the biggest what could have been in my lifetime of Philly sports…although they did get one…even before the fully assembled that staff though.

2008 was the one for me. I thought the Eagles would have killed the Steelers like they already did in that SB rematch.

They had already destroyed the Cardinals.

They might not have been the most talented team that year but of the 4 left, they were by far the best.

4 Aces. Worst part of those years (other than 2009) was watching our offense and bats disappear in the post season.

This season's starters are the closest thing we've had to the elite starting pitchers of those years - one could argue that Wheeler, Suarez, Sanchez have been just as good for most of the season - and Luzardo and Walker have been serviceable.

I’d be really surprised if he’s in the playoff rotation. I kind think it has to be Sanchez, Ranger, luzardo and if you need a 4th maybe Walker buehler if he looks good down the stretch.

Let me say this, I like Nola. I wanted to give him a four-year contract and ok with a fifth year or fifth year mutual option. I did not remotely want them to go six or seven considering what his age was and how many innings he had put on. Was a report the Braves we’re going to offer 7 but i call BS. They had pitchers with similar WAR numbers (same age or younger with less innings) and refused to go more than 4.

Gotta just hope he bounces back in 2026 which since 2021 he’s gone bad, good, bad, good, bad.

AJ had a great camp and looked unstoppable per all reports so I'm sure he'll be fine whenever they get it straightened out. Whether it's injury or just scheme or whatever.
