I don't feel like sifting through pages and pages of discussion since yesterday but has anyone else mentioned how impressive Jordan Davis has looked these last two weeks? This is definitely the first two game stretch he has had with the Eagles. The weight loss has clearly helped his cardio to be out on the field more and his quickness. He has been a force against the run.

He's like Matumbo out there with the tipped passes, just showing up everywhere.

Forgot about Carter's wrist. Any update on that?

Wow! That would be nice if we used our WRs to take advantage of it.

What do you mean? We are running 4 verticals like it's Madden on Sunday.

I think he said it was a stinger which could be his shoulder.

JC fell facedown at the end of a play, and instead catching himself with his palms he caught the ground with the back of his right wrist.

Thanks. I missed that.

They thought Ringo was going to be good, plain and simple. They were very wrong obviously.

Is Ringo really worse than Jackson? If someone's gonna get toasted every other play, I'd feel much better if it was the younger dude lol.

I guess we gotta trust Fangio.

Truth.

And those pass deflections at the line are drive killers for opposing offenses for sure.

Chiefs are always offsides on the sneak. I don't have the disdain a lot of Eagles fans have for Chiefs but this is just whining and being a sore loser

Game isn't for a month but I do hope Wentz takes this opportunity to hold onto the job so we get to see this.

I think they relied on the RPO to create running lanes and are adjusting to life in a conventional scheme.

This is an adjustment for Hurts, Stoutland and the OL, and the RBs. And of course Patullo.

But in the long run, it's far more sustainable.

Hurts has been very accurate in the short passing game, which is another step in his development, if you can control games with runs and short passes, you can force defenses into mistakes.

I think Spagnola took advantage of the home crowd to confuse the OL blocking the blitz, the silent count make it easier for the DL to get off the ball, and crowd noise makes it harder to audible at the LOS.

It was a good experience, probably the toughest test for the offense all season. And they still got the "W".

Is there any other way for them to utilize a silent count without having Steen telegraph when the snap is coming? They’ve done that a few times when they have had to go silent count and it’s maddening.

Just like those dozen potential offensive holding calls the Chiefs seem to get to go their way every game versus the Eagles.

Uber eats this guy some wahburgers and French fries.

This was pretty funny lol

It was a great effort, but I suspect that even if he had caught it the CB had pushed him far enough that getting two feet down inbounds would have been very hard to accomplish. I also feel that that near completion have them some insight on the coverage, where Devonta was much quicker at locating the ball than the CB, so an underthrown (purposely underthrown?) would favor Devonta. Thoughts?

Those are @vikas83's observations. So, I'm tagging him to address your question.

I don't remember when this was but just another part of Chiefs being sore losers

It would have been close, but I think he could have come down in bounds had he grabbed that pass as we have seen him pull it off before. I agree it proved that Smitty could locate the ball better, but Jalen already seems to have that trust in him. It would be nice to have a better answer than just chuck up a 50/50 ball though.

The one thing I keep thinking about...how is this defense already this solid despite all the offseason losses and 2 rookies playing. Held Dallas to 20 without JC, and held a desperate KC team to 17 on the road. And in both games, there were penalties that extended every TD drive (holding that wiped out sack and BS roughing call yesterday). If we can get competent play at CB2...

Oh - he should be out there on every down.

The defense doesn't need to account for the QB, so OL needs to block another defender.

And that's one of the biggest assets he brings. If they want to limit it especially early in the season it makes sense. If they are designing a system that fits McKee more it doesn't to me.

Maybe if Wentz wins you will finally shut up about Hurts being better.

So by no means do I know much about football (insert jokes), but why no Sluggo routes ever called with the caliber of WRs on this team. It is Maddening (pun intended).

Yes. The question is why the delay in going to Bennett.

Schefter is basically a mouth piece for the league and I find their PR move against the push hilarious. If he’s saying this, it’s how the higher ups in the league feels as well. Coupled together with Blandino’s comment yesterday during the review too. It went to a vote, teams voted to keep it, deal with it. It is not an unfovernable play. You can legislate if someone is lining up onsides or off. Tell the refs to do their effing jobs.
