Schefter is basically a mouth piece for the league and I find their PR move against the push hilarious. If he’s saying this, it’s how the higher ups in the league feels as well. Coupled together with Blandino’s comment yesterday during the review too. It went to a vote, teams voted to keep it, deal with it. It is not an unfovernable play. You can legislate if someone is lining up onsides or off. Tell the refs to do their effing jobs.

Adam can shift that opinion right back up his arse.

And tell him to brush. He has Goodell breath.

They're so focused on the false starts but not the offsides

F em. Keep running the play

Chiefs are always offsides on the sneak. I don't have the disdain a lot of Eagles fans have for Chiefs but this is just whining and being a sore loser

Hey Chris... cry about it, because your 'plan' to stop it was the single dumbest thing I've EVER seen on a football field. Where did ANY coach ever teach a player that the best way to be strong against the run was to line up parallel to the LOS?

The one thing I keep thinking about...how is this defense already this solid despite all the offseason losses and 2 rookies playing. Held Dallas to 20 without JC, and held a desperate KC team to 17 on the road. And in both games, there were penalties that extended every TD drive (holding that wiped out sack and BS roughing call yesterday). If we can get competent play at CB2...

What you don’t like adoree Wile E coyote Jackson?

I think he said it was a stinger which could be his shoulder.

He described it as a little stinger but he didn’t mean the actual stinger injury, just that his wrist was hurting but not overly bad

Pretty funny, but 100% 'taunting'. Should be flagged and fined.

There are probably a surplus of good blocking TE's currently on practice squads or even on the street waiting for a call. If they are going to be a heavy 12 personnel team who doesn't push the ball down the field GC is pointless on this roster. He's not even that good as a receiver anyway.

The back-up TEs are being considered as FB after the loss of the starter. Granson has done some, but the one elevated from PS yesterday was the focus. Not very visible in performance yesterday and the coaches would grade and decide what to do next.

Dallas will come back but his availability is in question. Terra is poor on blocking and not getting many looks from Hurts either. Overlooking the TE pipeline and spending so little resources on it has been glaring.

It would have been close, but I think he could have come down in bounds had he grabbed that pass as we have seen him pull it off before. I agree it proved that Smitty could locate the ball better, but Jalen already seems to have that trust in him. It would be nice to have a better answer than just chuck up a 50/50 ball though.

@mattwill there's your response.

Is there any other way for them to utilize a silent count without having Steen telegraph when the snap is coming? They’ve done that a few times when they have had to go silent count and it’s maddening.

Your team has to get the snap count too. Nobody can hear the QB, especially the WRs and backs. They go off Steen patting the center and the QB’s leg action. The OL watch the ball. Yes, it’s a significant advantage for the home team in a loud environment but no one has come up with a better system.

The absolute weakest argument against the tush push is it’s a "rugby play”

The game of American football was based off of the rules of rugby. So stupid. Hey let’s just take out running down the field with a ball while the people in other jerseys try and tackle you because it’s too much like rugby.

Pu$$ies

One word. Competence... in spades (or should I say, 'in green'?)

I don't see how it's taunting. I know it should have technically been flagged because the ball isn't allowed to be used as a prop in celebrations anymore unless they changed it

As opposed to the flex by Smith in the Dallas game. The NFL is just being silly about all this. A spontaneous quick flex is taunting, in celebration after a really nice play. But, a pre-planned choreographed celebration to make fun of an opposing coach is just fun times.

The NFL really needs to get a handle on things.

Probably all of officiating needs an overhaul. There is plenty of technology available that could track make the job accurate. The reality is they have 2 ref's watching for encroachment/offsides, the side and line judge. They have the Umpire watching the LG, LT and C for false starts and the Referee watching the RG and RT. It's not that hard.

Of course... the whining is silly. Don't let the Eagles get to a 1 yard situation. Don't bobble a ball at the goal line and let it get picked off. Chiefs lost the game, not because of the Tush Push... but because of the turnover. Lose the turnover battle. Lose the game.

McCarthy looks like another Gardner Minshew/Case Keenum type. Will probably end up being a career backup.

We are watching South Park's Sarcastaball play out in real time. It is crazy.

My bad... I thought that was the celebration against the Bears. Whoops.

What is the point of eliminating the RPO

  1. Keep Hurts alive, running laterally in a RPO sets him up for big hits whether he tosses or keeps the ball, he's fair game for big hits.

  2. If Hurts get hurt, McKee can't run a RPO (could do the Foles bit, but you'd have to practice that on a regular basis, otherwise OL would be called for downfield all day)

Hurts isn't that quick laterally, he's best North-South where he is elusive and easily breaks arm tackles. Even when he runs outside on scrambles, he's probably more a 4.6 guy now, but he can cut back if needed and has good vision.

I was confused. I should have watched it. I assumed it was the one with the Fumblin', Bumblin', Stumblin' TD that the Lions did.
