What's the script this year for football?

They haven't released the table read yet. But, here's an oldie, but still a goodie.

Thats where I’m at too. I had no worries going into sundays game and the chiefs made me sweat more than I thought they would.

Well... it was 90 degrees at kickoff. 😰

How far are you from the city? If you are a decent drive, I don't think it would be worth it to drive into the city just to watch it at a dive bar and not actually attend the game. You can find a bar with Eagles fans anywhere. Save the gas money.

Thanks dad.

I live in Baltimore but am just looking for a potential change of scenery. May end up taking the train.

Why don't all teams use the unstoppable tush push? Do Eag...

The Eagles have converted the tush push 96.6% of the time on fourth-and-1, so why don't all teams use it? Here's why.

A herd?

I’m pretty open-minded but that made me laugh.

Irrelevant, troll. John Cena is one of the goats of WWE and has been in several TV shows and movies in recent years. If you don't know who he is and how to pronounce his name than you probably aren't too bright. Dude was saying stupid nonsense all night on top of that.

If Professional Wrestling is a fool's errand, being the GOAT of Professional Wrestling is the Emperor's New Clothes.

And I say that as a competitive high school and college wrestler. I love and follow the sport of Freestyle Wrestling. Scripted theatrics, not so much.

The only reason it can’t be considered a sport is because it’s scripted.

But they are insane athletes. Many are in peak physical condition, outside the big fat guy. They perform 3-4 times a week with no offseason doing extremely physical stunts. It’s amazing injuries aren’t more common than they already are.

I said nothing about the athletes, and agree with you about their physical condition. They are actors on a stage ... professional stunt men plying their acgting trade on the stage.

I don't think they liked the laugh of one of the girls we brought. So, one of them yells in a husky voice - "why don't you shut the F up". My back was turned to them and hadn't noticed their presence, but when I looked around and peered through the dense smoke I saw 5 or 6 little men dressed like landscapers...

Here's a nice, misleading graphic. https://rbsdm.com/stats/stats/

At first glance it appears that Hurts is a top QB. But look closer. They have EPA per play, a really good result metric, on one axis and completion percentage over expected, an informative process metric, on the other.

EPA has a direct correlation to success. It shows how effective the QB is at increasing the likelihood of scoring. Looking at the table below, you'll see that Hurts, so far, is 17th in QB EPA. This includes his scrambles and tush pushes.

But Hurts has a really high completion percentage! Completion percentage is a component of success. So are yards. Look at the table below again and you can see that Hurts' air yards of 6.0 would be 32nd out of 34 - behind Rodgers and Nix.

I am a fan of Hurts. It's only been two games. And if they open up the offense his metrics will improve. But I also am sober enough to understand how he plays the position.

Wrestling is stupid, but it’s for kids so I give it a pass.

Tuesday morning Eagles-Rams Game Score Predictions Update

With the Cowboys and the Chiefs both dispensed with, it is on to Week Three and the rematch of last season's NFC Divisional Round matchup that the Rams believe they should have won. Jalen Carter had something to say about that.

As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  I will be taking predictions right up until Kickoff. If someone posts a prediction without a tag, please reply to it including the @mattwill tag. This weedk is going to be very busy for me and I won't be able to read all the posts to get the predictions, so the tags will be crucial.

For those of you who missed it, the results of the 55 predictions of Week Two can be viewed at the link below. @just relax was the winner of the Week Two chicken dinner with the closest prediction.

In an effort to lose weight I quit booze the day after Labor Day. Was not thinking about football when I came to that decision. I remain master strategist.

I haven't watched wrestling in decades, but Cena the GOAT?

I know he became a pariah later in life, but Hogan was the biggest thing in the world in the 1980s and basically created WWE as an international phenomenon.
