It would be the culminating moment of the parade, rather than the end of the parade just being a fizzling out of the excitement. If they raised the banner as the last moment, that would give the ceremony a true sense of closure, AND all the players who were a part of the championship could be there for it. By waiting until the start of the next season, some of those responsible are long gone. Milton Williams and Josh Sweat were major contributors in that Super Bowl, but they aren't part of the banner raising. Its kind of a shame.I guess they want to do it in front of fans. So, why not have a fan event at the stadium after the season? Make it free, first come first serve tickets. Show a highlight reel, player speeches, unveil the banner, show highlight of the ring ceremony. Throw in some other things to make it worthwhile like local music performers or something.

September 2Sep 2 Author These 22 of the 53-man Super Bowl roster are no longer with the team. That's 41% of the team. These guys had nothing to do with 2024. (Hall and Young were on the PS) I can see why having the team watch is unnecessary.

Zero defense so they go full air raid by the end of the game with plenty of garbage time points to make games look closer than they are.

September 2Sep 2 Everything after the parade has just been weird with this team but it is what it is. If they want to handle it by ignoring it, it's their right.

Weird results happen every year!2024: Pats over Bengals2023: Jets over Bills (Rodgers Achilles games)2022: Bears over 49ersHe's how crazy week 1 can be (specifically for us as Eagles fans):I'd put the chances of the Dallas Cowboys having a season that is as good or close to as good as our Eagles at exactly 0%. (almost anyone, biased or not, is going to be in agreement on this).I'd put the chances of the Dallas Cowboys having a week 1 that is as good or close to as good as our Eagles (so this would include basically any week 1 outcome besides a comfortable Eagles win or blowout) anywhere in the 30-50% range (and most would agree).

Whatever happens immediately before the game should have no bearing on anything. I don't think 'embracing the target' or acting like you're not defending really makes one bit of difference
September 2Sep 2 @mattwill Eagles go 12-5Eagles 29 Cowboys 20Bonus - Campbell lays someone out going over the middle sometime in Q1

I don't think 'embracing the target' or acting like you're not defending really makes one bit of difference I don't think any of it matters at all, which makes it all silly. Being out there doesn't matter. Not being out there doesn't matter. Refusing to admit if you put the ring on during the offseason doesn't matter. Not wearing the ring during the offseason doesn't matter. Not that it's a distraction but it feels like just jumping through unnecessary hoops with all this nonsense.
September 2Sep 2 The ring ceremony is for the players. The banner is for the fans and the TV.The Eagles players and coaches will be too busy getting ready to BTA the cow 💩
September 2Sep 2 @mattwill Eagles record: 13-4Cowboys 24Eagles 37Bonus: Hunt and Ojomo each with 1.5 sacks
September 2Sep 2 It feels like an over correction from 2023, but if it works for them it's all that matters.
September 2Sep 2 Eagles should get a Bruce Banner lookalike out there.Big, green monster terrorizing the rest of the league. Not to be confused with the d i l d o epidemic in the WNBA.
September 2Sep 2 Are teams usually on the sideline for the banner reveal? I thought most teams are in the locker room for that.Flying to Philly tomorrow to surprise dad and take him. Bought a thing through the EAF auction to go on the field for the ceremony. Will post pictures if we are allowed to take photos.
