When I coached hockey I had a player tell me he couldn't make the next game because he had to wash his dog. Your excuse just eclipsed his as the worst.

Normally I'd contemplate bailing. My kid is only 6 but they are playing during half time of a college game on the college field so should be a pretty cool crowd for them to play in front of. Maybe i can just tell the kids I can't make it to the game because I have to wash my imaginary dog. That will keep them guessing.

Well... the thing about Robinson is that he's an older draft pick. And then there's all the hype we read about him during TC and OTAs. Apparently that was mostly nonsense. I should know better by now given our beats... but I bought in anyway. 😐

It's a process with the DTs... in order to love them, we must first not like them.

Just use the DVR. Years from now you'll want those times with your son back.

You need 2 assistant coaches.

One to hold the tablet for you to watch the game on and one to coach the kids and yell "stand up," "turn around," "don't bunch up," "spread out" and "not that way the other way." Also, lastly and most importantly, "pass the ball to ...(insert name of the one kid that can actually play soccer)."

I actually have 2 assistant coaches and our team is Green and are called "The Green Machine". Maybe that will be good luck for Sunday since Birds are going green.

I'll probably be trying to do some crack streams or something else during the actual game. Anyone have any good free stream sites?

Kelee time!

Am I the only one who is low key excited to see Kelee Ringo play on Sunday? I realize it was rough in pre-season and he kind of got buried on the depth chart but I am still a sucker for his size, speed, and athletic ability to play the position. With Evans out and Godwin likely in the slot primarily he should get good matchups too if they have Q shadow Ebuka. I still think CB2 isn't currently on this roster and will be before the trade deadline but this is a real opportunity for Ringo and might be his last shot with the Eagles.

Also, I realize hindsight is always 20/20 and he wasn't very good here at all but Josh Jobe has become a serviceable starting CB for the Seahawks. It kind of reminds me of Rasul Douglas who struggled here early on in his career especially with getting beat deep and went elsewhere and became a solid starting corner.

Im not so much excited about Ringo... More that we are probably upgrading CB2 with him playing. And Godwin would seem to be a good match up for him rather than a smaller quick type so its a good week to try getting his feet wet.

Good point about Godwin although he probably lines up in the slot quite a bit. Ebuka on the other hand is not a great matchup for him and if I were Vic I would have Q shadow him with Evans out.

I am excited. I think he needs reps and is ready as can be as a 3rd year vet. Only 23 years old and if Josh Jobe can make it, so can he. In his previous starts seemed to play the boundaries well and not be too far from the ball. He's gonna be a better help against the run as well with his size. He's probably really hungry as.well.

Yeah I would imagine he realizes he was buried and now has an opportunity and if he ever has a shot to be a starter here again it starts by having a good game this week.

I'd say the right word is "intrigued." We know Jackson won't cut it, and my biggest gripe with Jackson the last 2 weeks is he is an abhorrent tackler. Ringo will tackle. I thought Ringo looked good as a rookie and was highly disappointed he didn't win the job. I want to see what he looks like after being humbled.

He should help the run defense if nothing else.

The low key problem in secondary is Reed Blankenship. PFF rating of 33. Ranked 121/123. He seems to be a leader back there, so maybe that's getting masked. Howie may have been smart with waiting on this contract. Got burned waiting for M. Williams. Can't win all of them.

Any excitement people have over Ringo playing I expect to fully be gone by the 2nd quarter, based on his preseason performance.

The deep shot to Thornton in KC was on him as was the deep shot to Adams last week.

I think Rasul Douglas was a better player for us than he's being remembered as being. Especially his rookie year when he was forced to start when Darby got injured and held up pretty damn well.

I think his lack of speed is starting to show up. His anticipation and intelligence makes up for some of it. But not all of it.

Nope, I'm with you. I'm just as hopeful for the same reasons you listed. I hope locks down CB2 this weekend.

With the pass rush not being particularly ferocious, opposing offenses are getting an opportunity to match him up against WRs. Even zone coverage, converts to man principles at some point.
