I really think all the Kevin Patullo hate is premature. I don't know the guy. I don't know if he's hot garbage or destined to be the greatest OC of all time. I just think the hate is very premature. The Eagles are a SB winning team with an entrenched franchise QB and an offense minded HC...and an extremely hands on (and outstanding) GM who gets involved in day to day football. Play caller or not, there are guard rails and infrastructure in place here. Every single decision on offense that doesn't work out is not all him. Give the guy more than 3 games.

I suppose there must be some brand new research that I dont know about. Giving the eagles sports performance people the benefit of the doubt. But heat acclimatization takes 1-2 weeks. The upheaval in their regular schedule may have a larger effect (potentially negative), than the benefit (miniscule if any) they get from arriving in the Florida heat 1 day early. This looks like they are just masochists going to spend 1 extra day being super hot.

Im completely with @LeanMeanGM on this. Theyre spending way too much time talking about this. Its taking focus away from football. And throwing off their usual formula that consistently wins. Hurts needs to remind them to keep the main thing the main thing.

I guess there is an angle to consider where the players dont know the science behind it, and they believe that the team going a day early will actually help them. A potential placebo effect perhaps is what the team is hoping for? But that again seems like they are overthinking things.

We aren’t far removed from similar heat. I think this is a reacclimation more than anything.

Then what am I going to overreact to? F Patullo and the horse he rode in on!

But seriously this is a SB winning offense returning 10/11 starters, it shouldn't look this painful out the gate. He needs to figure his ish out because right now this is exactly how it started with Brian Johnson, and people were saying the same thing in terms of "give him time". He shouldn't need time, he's an internal hire with 90% of an offense that just won a super bowl.

But this SB winning offense with 11/11 starters looked this painful at times in 2024. And at it's best...the only real difference was that a healthy Dickerson and Becton were blowing open holes for 70 yard Barkley runs. He's calling the games the way they were called last year. An offense entirely predicated on the run can no longer run the ball effectively. That's a massive difference that is so much larger than the OC change.

If a QB played 3 games the way Patullo called the first 3, you would never want to see him in the game again.

Patullo was Winston Justice bad in his role.

The goal of this team is winning as many games as possible and winning another Super Bowl.

Send Kevin to a self discovery retreat to find himself. Its not the job of the 2025 Eagles to help Patullo grow into a big boy at the expense of the offense.

The NFL is a meritocracy and its absolutely fair to destroy this clown until he stops being terrible at his job.

You would think people would have learned their lesson after idiotically scapegoating Brian Johnson in 2023. Those "Brian Johnson sucks!" takes aged so poorly.

Wow. Illini just bumbled and fumbled... potentially fumbling the game away.

Maybe not... USC defense was swiss cheese again. Illini go in long FG range, easily.

Yep, heat wise it won’t be any worse than it was in KC. It’s the thick air that drains any water in you and makes it hard to breathe.

This is off topic, but why is there such aggravation in the Ryder Cup towards the European players? I'm not super into golf, but the behaviour doesn't fit with typical golf fans. Doesn't make sense for the Police to have to escort a player between holes. Seems OTT

Fair do's. But Europe isn't a country.

And reality, this is just a stick and ball game. Not sure why so many egos are bruised over some Europeans talking ish back.

Skippy, how many more wins would your theoretically better OC have produced?

Do you think they are going to win this week?

Eagles didn’t elevate anyone. Interesting.

Yet? Is there a deadline where they have to elevate?

The SB losing offense looks much worse and they have a head coach/play caller who is a HOF shoe in

Pretend it's a soccer match there and you should get it

Last year it was a new offense, growing pains were to be expected. They changed how they CALLED that offense after the bye, they shouldn't be learning anything new or different this year.

The bye is week 9, we don't have time for him to bumble F around hoping the defense saves him every week until he figures it out. There is zero creativity, dude is running Barkley straight into 8 man boxes 20 times a game
