Allar sucks, so does Franklin

Franklin would be a great coach at Iowa for 40 years.

Penn State expects to win way more of these big games.

Drew Allar is ass and James Franklin is double ass - deadly combination

Feels like Franklin has taken them as far as they can go. And you are going to keep having the same thing happen where you get to the door but can’t knock it down.

So you were fine with Gannon being the weak link in the Super Bowl?

You were great with Siposs punting a line drive that was returned to the 10?

It seems that I like winning more than you do.

But to each their own.

Ancient history.

With that said, Gannon was deficient, but he was who we were stuck with. We weren't going to change in mid stream during the season ... plus, there were no advance clues to how bad Gannon's SB performance was going to be.

With that said, even with Gannon's mind clearly not on the task at hand, if the field condition had been even close to normal Gannon's distraction wouldn't have been enough to lose the game.

All punters shank the occasional punt. The timing of that shank was at the worst possible time. crap happens. How many shanks did Siposs have during the season?

Gus kind of splits the difference between the 2 of them here but he is impacting a concrete stadium with a very thin pad over it.

Today’s NFL would have fined him twice for this

So torn on what to think of this game. We should win with the people playing and out but they have our number when we playing Tampa for the most part. We are also due for a loss with our undefeated core of Hurts, AJ, Devonta and Saquon. And if they win they should be able to make it to that week 9 bye without a loss. Just not sure. Very tough game. Would love to see a win but I need to see it in this case before really feeling like they are going to go in and actually win.

Mike Evans being out I think is the biggest factor. Obviously AJ and DeVonta in this game is a huge help over last year. But having Cooper playing over Maddox is also a massive upgrade. Everything from an on paper perspective says we win but idk, just don't feel it but at the same time also not convinced of a loss either.

I just hope whatever the outcome that we have CB2 figured out by what I think is a likely playoff rematch when they have Evans back and Godwin is back to speed and not first game back along with their offensive rookie of the year WR. Although Quinyon and Cooper have their guys on lockdown. Just that CB2 hole.

I know a lot of y'all are Penn State fans, but in my world they are the college football equivalent of the Dallas Cowboys. So that was an enjoyable game for me.

Go Birds.

@mattwill

Eagles 27

Bucs 24

Bonus: Mukuba INT

Depends what they want. Franklin has integrity and a super solid program. No revolving coaches with recurring scandals. On the other hand, he will likely never win the big one.

Nah, that would be Notre Dame. Not even close.

Gameday, Go Birds!

Its not a football rule. Its a save the NCAA from defender paralysis lawsuits rule.

The first guy ('bama) is risking spinal injury, the second guy much less so.

You don't think the Oregon QB's was at risk of a spinal injury? I understand the "intent", just not the execution of calling it.

So it begins.

Are these mutually exclusive?

No doubt there are examples of coaches who can bring both but doesn't seem like Franklin can at this point.

That part I agree with.

Would have been an insane thing to think a couple of years ago. I wonder if Howie will be able to help himself from chasing Woolen’s upside.

I've watched some of Seattle this year and Woolen has been terrible. You gotta wonder how a guy declines so rapidly.

On another note, good for Josh Jobe. He seemed like a good kid when he was here. Wish the Eagles still had him.

I’m a Penn state fan but since 2011 I understand why people hate Penn state. Much of the fanbase is just brainwashed and entitled. I still root for them because I grew up going to games with my grandfather but i understand the hate.

Just like I get ppl who hate Philly sports. We are a bunch of annoying a-holes

Whoa, slow the roll. We are a- holes but not annoying. Cowboy fans are both.

Looks like things have gone sideways for whatever reason for Jackson Powers Johnson at LV. With Landon always dinged and being a Toth hater and JPJ’s rookie contract through 2027 which provides cover for Steen - might make sense. He went down with a concussion early in the season, but hasn’t been reinserted into the lineup for continuity reasons.

If the Cowboys had a fight song similar to ours…. Yeah im sure none of us would find that even slightly annoying
