September 4Sep 4 We’re the better team and should win handily, but these season openers are often not easy. I’d expect our O to be somewhat sluggish. We usually start slow, so that will benefit the underdog Cowboys. Motivation on their side can’t be underestimated, as no one is really giving them a shot. I’m hoping for a blowout, but realistically, I see a really close game. A good defensive performance will be critical in getting the win.

IIRC, the new rule means he doesn't really count against the 'active' players and would only go into the game in the case of the absolute emergency. If its primarily a pain tolerance thing, and he can't hurt himself worse by playing in that emergency, then I'd dress McKee as the absolute dire straight type situation it would take for him to come into the game. McCord just seems like too big a liability at this point. On the other hand, if McKee's not close enough to be able to dress in that situation, then I say go with McCord out of desperation in the emergency role, but expect absolutely nothing out of him if thrown in there.Agreed. And you are correct, he would count as inactive but still dressed. I wonder if this some rule about it with his injury but you would think he would be able to go in and just hand it off every play.

So, if you guys can all refrain from posting about the game till I get home it is much appreciated.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!I have a 4 year old who refuses to go to bed so I’ll DEFINITELY be on delay. But I don’t go on the board much during games so spoil away nerds.

Eagles are undoubtedly the better team but it's week 1, they have a new coaching staff and a lot of Eagles players missed stretches of camp. I think they come out rusty. I'm confident in a win, I just don't think it's necessarily a blow out.

It makes the next "real" call, when he really does want to make a trade happen, go easier.I suspect the conversation went something like this:HOWIE: Are you interested in trading Micah Parsons?JERRY: For the right price.HOWIE: What would you want?JERRY: Jalen Carter and…HOWIE: click!
September 4Sep 4 Just for reference, this is opening day in the Sirianni era, with the opposing teams final record2021: Eagles 32 Falcons 6 (7-10)2022: Eagles 38 Lions 35 (9-8)2023: Eagles 25 Patriots 20 (4-13)2024: Eagles 34 Packers 29 (11-6)Eagles were the better team in all 4 years but the only blowout came in his first game ever when no one really knew what to expect his offense or team to be

No one from the Eagles' organization would tell him that, so if it's Jerry or Stephen Jones (or any source from the Turds side) telling him that, it should be taken with less than a grain of salt.I would believe Howie might have offered Jordan Davis and a 1st round pick (and perhaps an additional 2nd), but it becomes a moot point because there's no way Howie would have signed Parsons to anything close to $47M per year AAV the way the Packers did.

Largest point spread of the weekSuper bowl winners, at home, against a 7-win team that just traded away their best player. I would've thought 7 or 7.5, but with so much of the public having access to sports betting apps, the days of soft week 1 lines might be a big bygone era. Might be good for hitting home dogs though like the saints.
