Well, there are two ways to look at things...

1 - These players can view themselves as entertainers, like Jerry Jones likes to talk about with the Soap Opera that is the Dallas Cowboys...

or

2 - These players can view themselves as football players who are part of a team that's trying to win back to back titles.

AJ has already said that the championship chase isn't what motivates him (paraphrase), he gets the most enjoyment/fulfillment when he's dominating his opponent, not when his team wins. So, I don't see how this marriage lasts for much longer. AJ, frankly, doesn't really fit the culture of the team which has become that winning supersedes everything else.

I wonder if they could do the hand wave in Jurgens peripheral vision instead... then Steen would be able to be completely square to the LOS and have his head looking straight ahead. But, right now, Steen seems to be a bit slow in tapping and they've nearly had some delay calls while Hurts is yelling "GO GO GO".

I am puzzled on the hand wave as a ready-start signal. It is for all to see, defense included, and there is no surprise element any more.

Broncos 27

Eagles 13

Should be a relatively easy win for the Broncos. Their defense is by far the best that the Eagles have faced and with a most likely concussed Hurts playing, it won't be good. 3 turnovers from the offense.

Great being older so fear of employment isn’t an issue and able to talk freely.

Honest question, why is there so much talk about the RG and the silent count? They have been doing the same thing for years. You can see Seumalo doing it for every road game back in 2022. This isn't something new.

In the most recent permutation, had AJ spoken in response to a question from the press, it would be annoying, but less divisive.

But, in this permutation (again), he decided to go with the cryptic comment on social media in order to precipitate a question from the media. He ducked media availability, then he chose to ignite the controversy by posting to social media, forcing the press to press him on the issue. This wasn't started by the press asking. It started by him posting to social media.

And I don't post to social media about my job, so the press doesn't come ask me about it.

The O-Line & Hurts have their work cut out for them Sunday...

That's wild.

I guess that's the real "QB Factory".

I didn’t hear what he said that way at all. What I heard him say was that savoring the historical satisfaction of the Super Bowl win only lasted two days before it was overtaken by getting on with the task at hand … winning SBLX … the next one.

That's not what he said.

"My thrill comes when I dominate." "It's when the DB drops his head and surrender because he can't F with me."

Not really about winning, mostly about personal success in his one on one battle. Which is his perogative.

I think the thing people are noticing more with steen is that he tends to turn his head multiple times to get when he is supposed to alert jurgens to snap it. In this video of seumalo (particularly 1st play on here— although would like from the time they get set) it doesn’t appear to be as much turning back as steen. Tend to think seumalo and becton with more experience knew where the play clock was to time when to turn, check to see if they were ready/should snap and then go. Then again hurts is further in his development so might be more stuff he’s doing an saying more stuff at the line causing stern to turn (could also be steen’s lack of doing it in his career so far). I’d have to go back and rewatch some games last year. But remember they also did some playclock snaps where the tap was determined on where the clock was.

*also why can’t we edit in response to Twitter and YouTube videos. That’s highly annoying.

That was not his initial quote ... but rather a follow up quote. But your assessment of that version is correct.

Yes. And I still don't know why they didn't call down. He laid on the ground for a while and while they were discussing the penalty flag they threw and then picked up, they showed a replay clearly indicating his head bounced off the turf.

As opposed to the butt tap, which is also visible.

My question was related to how Steen could do it better. He seems to be not great at it... as discussed by JR talking about him missing a blitzer because he didn't get his head around fast enough to see him coming. And that's on tape now, so if I was a DC... that's the gap I'd bring a late blitzer through.

Brooks tweeted he went to the tent. It was roughly around the time of this play based on timing of tweet and where the game was. I got to imagine he was tested for a concussion. the concussion wasn’t as bad as the one he sustained in DC, then he may have passed testing, but yet still had it effect him out there.

Wasn't referring to you specifically, just others, especially during gamedays that think this is something new they are doing. I also noticed Steen stands upright a lot more than usual and seems to turn his upper body more for whatever reason.

Listening to Sheil and seyed talk on their podcast about the broncos, their offensive analytics weren’t very good prior to the bengals game. The bengals game really boosted them up a lot cause it’s a small 4 game sample and the bengals defense is once again awful.

While I'm disappointed, at least they remember he exists so I'm hopeful he at least gets a camp invite next year.
