The Eagles were 7 8 on offense and 30 26 on D in 2023.

Hurts had a very sloppy game vs the Jets but was still top 3 in MVP through 12 weeks.

SF and Dallas destroyed the entire 2023 organization from Lurie to the ushers.

Then Hurts started pressing with deep shots like the Seahawks game.

The offense was a problem is a lie. They had no strategy for blitz outlets but the offense as a whole was top 10.

The OC was not great but it was more about the routes being simple and the blitz issues. The O-line was much stronger so they were better able to make up for the deficiencies.

Hurts was a turnover machine or had a huge turnover problem is also a lie. He had 1 bad game out of 12 and then he collapsed like the entire team from game 12 on.

The playoff game in Tampa without AJ was 16-9 at the half.

They had a really bad half on the road without their best WR and with a Swiss cheese D.

The Eagles RBs ran 14 times for 37 yards. 2.65 per carry.

Hurts had an intentional grounding safety but he did not have a pick or a fumble.

Ignorant Giants fans are welcome to pretend it was all on Hurts in 2023. Only cockroaches would so so in Philly.

A couple things going into this game:

1st, the Eagles beat 3 of the 4 teams rather decisively during the actual plays.

The games were close because of spitting and taunting and other stupid 15 yard penalty BS. Clean it up!

The Chiefs game was just a sloppy slugfest in KC but they got the win.

They have a lot to improve but the talent on this team and especially this D is undeniable.

Now lets look at that 2024 Denver D. When they face a bottom 5 offense in Denver with crowd noise and the other team literally having less oxygen:

146 yards per game and 7.5 points per game.

On the road against mediocre teams:

424.5 yards per game and 26 points per game.

The offense had issues at times in 2023, but a lot of that was comparing it to 2022 where everything was amazing and clicking 100% all season. Most teams have ups and downs though.

The offense was painful to watch for long stretches in 2023, that's why they're being compared. It was better than this year, but it was not functioning well which is why every game was "they can't keep winning like this" to which the response from many was " STFU we're undefeated!"

The comparison is only lazy if all one does is look at the numbers from that season, because watching that offense was just as painful at times

The 2023 Bills had an outside shot to be undefeated based on talent and schedule. Josh Allen had 9 picks and 3 fumbles lost in their 6 losses, which were all by 1 score.

Hurts had 6 picks and no fumbles in 3.

The redzone criticism has nothing to do with efficiency. It’s that they both know as soon as they get in the redzone it’s going to be ultra conservative with runs, short passes or tush pushes and both WR’s are going to be blockers or irrelevant. I’m abstaining from Hooters take out since I got that every year for playoffs and that never worked so

I could totally see them moving on from him and he comes back to Philadelphia next year. I thought there was a chance that could happen if he didn’t play great this year. Not that it’s the end. I’ll be all, but PFF has his grade at 47 and 90th out of 102

Tbh he was solid week 1 (good pass pro) then following two weeks against the raiders and broncos he was just not that good. Gave up multiple pressures in each game and the chargers run blocking was not good all together in both. Missed last week with a concussion.
