A couple things going into this game:

1st, the Eagles beat 3 of the 4 teams rather decisively during the actual plays.

The games were close because of spitting and taunting and other stupid 15 yard penalty BS. Clean it up!

The Chiefs game was just a sloppy slugfest in KC but they got the win.

They have a lot to improve but the talent on this team and especially this D is undeniable.

Now lets look at that 2024 Denver D. When they face a bottom 5 offense in Denver with crowd noise and the other team literally having less oxygen:

146 yards per game and 7.5 points per game.

On the road against mediocre teams:

424.5 yards per game and 26 points per game.

The offense was painful to watch for long stretches in 2023, that's why they're being compared. It was better than this year, but it was not functioning well which is why every game was "they can't keep winning like this" to which the response from many was " STFU we're undefeated!"

The comparison is only lazy if all one does is look at the numbers from that season, because watching that offense was just as painful at times

The redzone criticism has nothing to do with efficiency. It’s that they both know as soon as they get in the redzone it’s going to be ultra conservative with runs, short passes or tush pushes and both WR’s are going to be blockers or irrelevant. Also if Smitty never complains to anyone, the sources are obviously going to be anonymous. Like what the hell is he even talking about?

I’m abstaining from Hooters take out since I got that every year for playoffs and that never worked so

I could totally see them moving on from him and he comes back to Philadelphia next year. I thought there was a chance that could happen if he didn’t play great this year. Not that it’s the end. I’ll be all, but PFF has his grade at 47 and 90th out of 102

Tbh he was solid week 1 (good pass pro) then following two weeks against the raiders and broncos he was just not that good. Gave up multiple pressures in each game and the chargers run blocking was not good all together in both. Missed last week with a concussion.

I mentioned this in week 2, he also doesn’t look like he’s in as great of shape as last year. He looks overweight. Also doesn’t help they lost slater and alt is now also hurt
