EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Credit to Moore and the saints. Since the bye they’ve played tough and not just thrown in the towel. The also have a massive lack of talent. Team has nothing to play for and given Tampa and Carolina all they could handled the last two weeks. 17-17 with 2:29 left

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

This is semantics, but I'd argue the combine measures explosion and speed, not athleticism.
A good example I'd use are Devonta Smith and prime Zach Ertz. Both outstanding athletes with elite body control, but neither with test-able speed or explosion. Likewise, I'd argue that a lot of the combine warriors who fail do so because they are not particularly athletic.

I think it's already time to consider Quinyon Mitchell's place amongst the best outside CBs we've seen in Philly.

Asante Samuel fell off in his final of 4 seasons here and made some business decisions with tackling, but he was truly outstanding in 2008 and specifically 2009. I don't think his coverage was as tight as Mitchell, but he was such a ball hawk for a while there that it really repelled QB's from even throwing his way.

Lito and Sheldon...as good as they were for as long as they were...I don't think either was ever at Mitchell's level with pure coverage. They both had more of a tendency to get beat.

Then we go back to Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent. He might be better in coverage than they were.

Eric Allen was ok

The Colts are cooked anyway. Their last 3 games are against SF,Jax, and Houston.

RAS scores are overrated.

Coward's draw on 3rd down by the Lions needing 11. Scared of getting pushed out of FG range.

Their kicker sucks... nearly missed another one.

He missed 3 last year in a very good year. He already has 6 misses this year.

The 2023 NFC Playoffs were so weird. The Lions and Packers both lost in SF because they did not have even bad kickers, they had jokes.

Bates joined the Lions the next year and in 2024 they thought they had their answer.

After watching games in multi view over the past two hours...one more blessing from today's game...no key injuries. Hopefully the offense has learned some valuable lessons and then getting Carter and Johnson at some point for a run...the Eagles aren't done just yet.

credit to their defense in that game. Rivers hasn’t played a game since 2020. Yet they somehow have a chance to win a game today with him throwing for barely over 100 yards.

When did Denver become so good?? Them and the Texans, I must have been sleeping this NFL season. 😬😬

Puca is down!

They have a great D and they get to breathe better than the other team in Denver.

Its the biggest HFA in sports.

Rams with a dagger to Parkinson. Lions defense collapsed in the second half.

I feel HAPPY!

GB just lost a timeout.

Rams Offense, they just make it look easy.

They were good last year too

Eagles would beat the Rams again. Bad secondary, overrated OL.
