Game today

Big if true.

Bears losing to SF seems legitimately possible.

Our game is also interesting from BUF perspective. My understanding is that if NE beats NYJ at 1pm, then NE has clinched the division. At that point does BUF have anything to play for? So, now I wonder if BUF is the team that rests players in this game.

Just seeding. All the WC’s have 11 wins so Bills could easily drop to #7. It doesn’t matter much but I still doubt they rest players this early.

He might be the best CB in the league, but he isn’t the best DB on his own team. That’s wild how good that draft was last year.

I still think the Rams are the best team in the NFL right now. It's amazing how we've had their number, but playing them feels a little bit like 2002 playoffs vs. Tampa. We look a little worse every time we play them and the next one is probably going to be an L. They are the only team in the NFL that I think the Eagles might not beat even if we have a good week. Ideally, they'd be a road playoff team that knocks off the top seed and then travels to the Linc for the NFCCG. I don't know if the seeds can work out that way, but that's not such a bad scenario. It seems like they may be traveling to the Linc wild card weekend though.

Interesting that Brandon Johnson was elevated again this week from the PS. Hopefully next week he gets to play some. He is the youngest player on the PS. I find it interesting that he was active last week over McWilliams. I suspect what they see in Johnson may impact what they do with Carter in the offseason.

I think it is interesting that Hinton got three weeks of practice before reverting to PS and looking like the same with Williams. No telling what Stout is seeing with them but ai like that they are getting that practice which may influence the draft either way depending on what they gathered from attending meetings and how that looked in practice.

So possibly three depth players there for next year.

Actually we had beaten Tampa (and their Tampa 2) but shoving the ball down their throats. That NFCCG....stupid Reid (after great kick off and Duce RUNNING for a TD) went f'ing pass happy. I was there for the last game at the Vet, freezing my nay nay's off, in the 600 level (family level) and was begging people to get up, cheer and they were all sitting on their hands. By far the most miserable game I've ever attended in every way shape or form (except for the girls that were flashing us from their rooms at the Holiday Inn while we were tailgating!). Yes the Rams are a worry, but how have we (mostly) beaten them.....by shoving it down their throats.

Playoff games are won with Good to Great Defenses (and their performances), a Strong Running Game and winning the turnover battle. Mix in some competent passing and good QB play. You do not have to pass for 400 yards and 5 TD's.

And short of having the Texans defense (which looks f'ing unbelievable)....I'll take our defense over any in the NFL. I'll take our RB (yes even right now) over any in the NFL. Which is why I've been begging to rest everyone. Get that O-Line rested and as healthy as f'ing possible. Jurgens, Dickerson, Mailata should all be sitting and go into the playoffs with that line as healthy and good to go as possible. Lean on them and the running game, our defense and don't commit turnovers....I'd like our odds.

We don't have the ability to shove it down teams' throats this year. And if that's the key to our success (which I agree it is), then Barkley and the OL should not be playing against Buffalo. If they keep playing them, we'll continue to see Dickerson and Jurgens getting pushed around with Barkley getting dragged down by arm tackles.

He is a shut down corner. Copper is amazing, but Mitchell is a true shut down corner. To me, not only is he the best corner on the team, but the best CB in the league.

Realistically, they can really only swap with the chargers if they all share the same record. They could very well decide to rest some players

Hence my point.....these last two games are basically meaningless UNLESS we go into the playoffs as healthy as possible. They have played so many games over the past couple of years. SHUT THEM THE F DOWN. Get the O-Line and key players as rested and as healthy as possible. Don't give me this bullcrap measuring stick game. Don't give me rust. Even if you don't come away with major injuries in Buffalo in a monsoon, you are still running your players down. And would anyone here prefer the #2 seed with our players beaten to crap or the #3 see with our players as rested and as healthy as possible? "I'll take What is an easy f'ing decision for $2,000 Alex."

They still have a path to the #1 seed. A Patriots win and Bills loss clinches the division. They aren’t resting players.

If the plan was to rest players they wouldn’t put Josh Allen out there at all on a bum ankle.

ESPN seems pretty convinced we get SF at home in the first round and the Packers travel to Chicago. If that's the case (and the Eagles take care of business), we should heavily, heavily root for the Packers against the Bears. Shapes up for a pretty cush divisional game at home against that banged up Packers team with SEA/LAR facing off in the other game.

And I swear to god, if one of our key players gets injured in this game, I'm giving Sirianni a 50 yard running nut kick.

I think it'll be Seahawks or Niners. Most likely Seahawks if the Niners win the division like I think they will.

They benefited from an easy schedule for sure, but still not having to punt since November is pretty impressive for the 49ers

as the 7 seed and how the nfl playoffs work, the packers would play the 1 seed. Same reason the 6 seeded commanders went to play the lions and we got the 4 seeded rams last year in the divisional round

You mean the 2 seed?

2 v 7

3 v 6

4 v 5

I meant in the divisional round. As he said packers/bears we’d be rooting for the packers in the first round (which is the 2 vs. 7). There’s no way we’d be able face the packers in the divisional round.

Divisional round. It wouldn’t make sense to root for Packers because there is no scenario the Eagles play them. It might make more sense to root for the Bears to avoid the Seahawks/Rams unless the NFCS pulls an upset.

Frankly I’d rather go to Chicago with a chip on our shoulder with how embarrassed we got back on Black Friday. I tend to think the eagles would be extra motivated. Even if it’s the playoffs guys last year said the commanders acting like they won the Super Bowl when they beat us (want to say wee 16) pissed them off.
