I am so sick of teams stealing Eagles coordinators every year. Someone better take KP.

Maybe - but we seem to match up well against the Packers.

And half decent chance the offense could have done well against Washington - built up some confidence etc etc

Nah, this year we wouldn’t have won squat. We are what everyone said we were… a terrible offensive football team that is badly coached. Defense did enough, but the ineptitude of this offense for long stretches just did them in as well. Football is a game of momentum and we constantly gave that right back to the other team.

I think we would have handled the Packers just fine at home - possibly gained momentum with another home game next week.

Nah, they were supposed to have gained confidence against the raiders and commanders and then came out and still looked like crap against the bills and commanders again. This offense sucked all year long, the hope was hurts maybe decided running was good again in the playoffs. He didn't, aj brown decides he doesnt want to play, and they looked exactly like they did all year long

lol to everyone talking about how the Eagles were going to walk the bears.

This should've been the easiest year to repeat. Smh.

I hope Howie & Lurie are pissed!

This team wins with talent alone on offense. They were special when they had Moore or Steichen. Siri adds nothing.

In fairness, the refs stole this game.

That's why we need a new HC that isn't useless without a good OC

Their players aren't, but Shanahan + Saleh > Patullo + Fangio

Fangio is better than Shanahan. Going into this game Fangio was 3-1 against Shanahan. Meanwhile, Patullo sucks.

If we don’t fire KP this week, ideally tomorrow, I know all of us will be very frustrated.

Lord please let them fire SIRI.

And Hurts and Brown. I don't understand why guys keep getting let off the hook for terrible play. Brown couldn't catch a cold and Hurts once again has his brain scrambled every time his first read isn't there.

Yep.

Hurts wasn't good today. Brown was terrible.

OL has been crap all year.

Play calling wasn't all that great.

Refs didn't help.

All if these are true but its nothing new for the offense. They have been a mess all year long and need something to shock the system. In order of likelihood the changes that will be made in the offseason that I see are:

  1. KP fired and replaced with new OC

  2. Drafting and injecting some youth into OL

  3. New TE

  4. Trade AJ (if Howie decided to really blow it up)

I see nothing bad from this, welcome to Philly Kevin Stefanski!

Kevin... his name is Kevin. That's too close to Kevin Patullo.

Patullo is getting fired (as he should). So that’s already water under the bridge.

The offense is still, to a man, criminally overpaid and it will cost us the ability to keep together the defense.

The qb is still a below average passer who is no longer a threat to run.

AJ has reached the cliff.

Those problems are unfixable.

KP will be fired, but Siri is still the biggest problem. We need a HC who can be his own OC

And tbh we win this game without ref bias - even as bad as the offense was at times.

Critical call after critical calls were absolutely BS - completely negated first downs, huge plays scores etc

How many penalties did the 9ers have? Last I saw was 1.

Correct but not by a large enough margin to compensate for how much better Saleh is than Patullo.

It’s not true. This team had enough talent on offense to repeat - could have even won tonight without clear ref bias on critical plays.

Breaking trends.

AJ's drops were back breaking.
Missed PAT by Elliott.
Way too many penalties at the wrong moments.

Say what you want, but the defense did their job. If they had won this game, they would have been carrying the offense. They didn't carry them, but they absolutely did their part. The offense did not.

Defense did ok, 2 picks and 23 points or so is ok, considering they definitely would have gotten a field goal less or so if the offense could sustain better. The missed PAT kinda lost the game though. AJ's drops were absolutely awful. If I'm honest, I'm considering trading AJ. It's not even about player quality, but I kind of feel like his issues separating kind of hurt our team this year, not to mention issues catching the ball.

Honestly, the offense talent is overrated. The most important talent we had last year was an offense capable of running the ball. Barkley is pretty good when he has a clean first level, which he almost always had last year. This year, his first level was pretty dirty, and we see what happens as a result. If we had Shady instead of Barkley this year, both in their prime, we're in the Super Bowl. And it's not because Shady is better, it's because his running style was that the first tackler was basically useless, as he could full jump cut without losing acceleration.

His weakness was that he never really could get long TD runs because his long speed wasn't amazing, and Barkley didn't get any this year anyway.

Just a lot of poor matchup this year between what they needed to do, and what the talent was good at doing. Unfortunately, that's something that is caused in the offseason - like Brady said, you have like 75 plays, and changing all that over mid-season if you go into it thinking your running game will be your strength, and it's actually your biggest weakness, is incredibly hard - especially for first year coordinators.

I'm fine with Siri staying but if KP is on this team next year my head will explode.

They could've walked anyone if the offense could've been average. In this game they could've been up 20-10 at half, then they could've been 27-10 by the first niners possession in the second half. Couldn't do anything. Scored 3 points off of 2 turnovers with field position at their 40 or better.

Get Monken or Kingsbury or McDaniel in here tomorrow.

Aside from personal connections, I think McDaniel would be great. He’s super creative and brings a totally different style. That’s what we need. Throw a bunch of draft picks to bring in some of the jitterbug type of players he likes and I think we’d be good.

Lurie usually does the right thing with "lose the fanbase” type decisions

Thanks everyone for the group therapy.
