We can stop the talk about the defense being Super Bowl caliber too. They weren’t that today.

I absolutely agree. When we needed them to step up in the most crucial time, they also came up short. Sure, they did more than the offense, but they also let Purdy and his cast of 2nd stringers score 24 points… Seattle held them to THREE points.

What was that last play? Four guys ran the same two routes and they choose to throw into triple coverage.

I saw a stat here this week where Hurts is like 30 of 34 with a 120 rating on crossing routes.

They refuse to call them.

He usually bails a pocket before a crossing WR can work his way free. Its a long developing route. Hes not good at them despite what the completion percentage may say.

I was wrong. We didn't win going away. Hurts was a bad QB today. Made that San Fran defense look good. Really good

Lol people blaming the defense that held them to 10 points through 3 quarters. The defense was beyond good enough, forced two turnovers, gave good field position all game except for maybe 2 drives. The offense lays the biggest egg of the season and we're in here talking about the defense lol.

D was better than the o. Caused 2 turnovers. I don’t blame them as much. It’s mainly on the o.

No I’m good there with Sirianni, he’s the ultimate glue guy head coach. Lafleur is pretty good but not special

He is a competent offensive guy. Love has an awesome passing scheme to play.

Siri adds nothing. Fangio is the same with either guy.

If you have to castrate a HC twice in 2 years then its time to find a new HC.

Made 4th and 5th string guys look like pro bowlers. It’s what the Eagles do.

And tbh we win this game without ref bias - even as bad as the offense was at times.

Critical call after critical calls were absolutely BS - completely negated first downs, huge plays scores etc

Sure but they weren't going far this year with the way the O has been all year.

I’m kind of ok with not bringing back Jaelan Phillips. He had a bit of a boost from the momentum of getting traded here and then really tailed off. Hes a huge longitudinal injury risk. Let someone else guarantee him money.

The edge rushers/pass rush was not good today.

Dont forget the super bowl in between. Thats kind of a big deal. Ill take another chance at that next year.

At what point do you just hire someone who can coach the offense instead of having rely on a great OC every year

Offense hasn’t been great but they’ve shown flashes.

They could have won this game - even as bad as they played had the refs been even slightly less biased (and I’m being nice about that)

The official sucked. But I’m not blaming the officials. The defense did not play well today. They only gave up 23 points, but that team was without one of their best players for half the game. And we had one of their starting wide receivers out. And yet we couldn’t stop giving a big plays to them.

Furthermore, the offense always shows flashes. Never consistency. It’s been the same constant thing. They have 3-4 drives in a game where they look great then the next 8 to 9 they look like crap. where there’s either a penalty that screws them. Or guys drop the ball. Or it’s a bad play call where they just have no chance. Or Jalen hurts makes a bad throw. Or Saquon Barkley dances instead of hitting the hole. At some point in time when your offense consistently shows you the same thing that’s who they are. been 18 Fing games. They’ve done this for 18 games. what they showed you today on offense is what they have been.

Welcome to Philly Stefanski!

Meh, one of the best plays all day

It was executed well. Minus the catch haha. But they literally motioned the defense into position to stop it. Either way. Aj is a bum.

Seattle has the best defense and an offense that doesn’t constantly go 3 and out.

They could've walked anyone if the offense could've been average. In this game they could've been up 20-10 at half, then they could've been 27-10 by the first niners possession in the second half. Couldn't do anything. Scored 3 points off of 2 turnovers with field position at their 40 or better.

But they didn’t, because they can’t.

I have a sick sense of satisfaction that they lost a game after winning the turnover battle, when Sirianni coached all season like it was some flawless formula to win.

Why is he hc if he doesn’t have confidence in his team? Coaching scared sitting on 2 posession leads and leaving defense out to dry.

I don't care who wins tonight but I'd like to see Milton Williams get home a couple times.

D wasn't great either. 360 yards and 6 for 11 on 3rd down. Aside from 2 plays by Q, the D was not impressive.

He threw it in to 4 players. had time but rushed in to that. what a spazz.

Yup had smith if he threw with some anticipation but anticipation throws arent hid thing.

Having said that the refs were awful this game, a few calls that at first glance dont look like that big a deal but change the outcome.

The first non PI call on AJ, he doesnt get interfered with hes got a clear path to the end zone instead the refs swallow their whistles and Siri goes and yells at his WR rather than the ref, stupid ref clown act by Siri.

Second the holding call on jurgens on the qb draw, technically it was a hold but the refs let the niners do the same all game. That killed that drive.

3rd the holding call on cooper on the barkley screen, technically a hold but real tic tac and could have called it on the niners all game.

Lastly the Bear hig on dotson in the end zone.

The DB just turned and bear hugged Dotson and the ref just stood there.

The niners had one penalty all game 1 a late hit on hurts, refs even tried to take away a td on a BS ineligible man down field but replay picked it up.

Having said that eagles had every chance to win and choked it away with missed tackles, blown assignments on D and sloppy predictable little offense.

Patullo gets a lot of the blame but this is Siris offense and if he doesnt hire a real OC on the off season he needs to go.

That Last 4th down play was so vanilla, season on the line out of a time out and the best play you got is that???

Also I love Blankenship but he got exposed today, not good enough.

Jaelen phillips also invisible today.

Both those guys could have made some money this game, they did not.

And Graham happy 2nd retirement, thanks for your effort👍

Maybe you missed when the defense gave up two TDs in the 4th quarter and got totally dominated throughout. The game doesn't end after 3 quarters.

Not sure where you are finding the HC as good as siri with all the CEO stuff who can also call an offense.

Oh by the way, Siri might have a nice offense if he had a real QB too.

What I have observed is that he can get some good pressure but doesn't finish plays.

Same as the story we were told by Dolphins fans when he came over

Yup... handed to them by the defense.

Defense wasn’t great today but the people who are going to claim the D was remotely at fault are crazy. Though I’m happy we don’t have to suffer another game.

Yea my one criticism of the defense is that fangio should have blitzed more once he realized the front 4 weren't cutting it. It also doesnt help that williams was holding all game long, including on the game winning TD
