7 hours ago7 hr About the coaching and Hurts:Whoever the new OC is, I want that coach to come in and run their system whether it's something Hurts is comfortable with or not. Whether Sirianni approves of it or not. Hurts is not good enough to where you should be running archaic offenses to pander to him. And if he can't handle it? Good. At least we'll know to move on from him in 2027 and find a new QB.Speaking of which, I grew tired of the defense of Hurts being "He plays great in Super Bowls!" In a small sample anyone can play great in those kinds of games. It's not like he plays great in every playoff game. All the wild card losses under Sirianni, Hurts was either bad in or mediocre. I'm not blaming him for yesterday's loss. I'm more trying to make the point that he's not an elite top 5 QB and he can't will offenses that aren't ideally situated to big offensive performances to outscore teams. He's not that level of QB.

We heard the same argument about why they wouldn’t trade Wentz. We heard the same argument for why Huff wouldn’t be traded.

Literally, all of the media and fans are talking about how pathetic he is. Nick may be saying that but Nick may be gone as well which would be wonderful.

7 hours ago7 hr 17 minutes ago, ManuManu said:Seriously, how is this so hard for people to see or admit? The offense stunk, but the defense had a chance to win the game and also failed. And 23 points allowed isn’t some crowning achievement against an offense without much at WR beyond Jennings that lost Kittle early in the game all while playing in windy conditions.Ill go as far as to say that last night's game shined a bright light on the need to improve the DL. Overall, the eagles still win that game without refs and if you had to blame anyone, its easily the offense. The one thing you can say about the D is that there was not nearly enough pressure on Purdy all game long. There was almost none.Id be careful about committing so much money to Davis and Nolan Smith. Because the interior got no push, and the edges were mostly ineffective all year long. Im actually at about 0% interest in retaining Smith.

Nick may be saying that but Nick may be gone as well which would be wonderful. We could have another Doug Pederson/Press Taylor situation arising - and if that's the case, they would both be gone. If they let a super likable player's coach like Pederson go - they won't have issues letting a controversial coach like Sirianni go.

The D did a lot right but they got almost no pressure and they gave up those couple big plays. The O sucked and obviously get the blame for the entire year but the D playing at their top wins that game last night.

Buuut he was a good add, who did fade as the season went onDespite slowing way down after the first couple of games here, he is a good player, just not worth the third round pick unfortunately. I think he’ll get a nice payday though. Hopefully it’s enough for a comp 4.

He was carried to the SB by Howie Vic and KM.What we saw yesterday was a coach without his best WR and TE do more with less. This is the 2nd time in 3 years we watched Nick do less with more. Howie wasn't perfect but he gave him a top 3 roster in the league and for the 2nd time in 3 years he got bounced in the first round because he picked someone absolutely inept as OC. It's 1k percent his fault.
7 hours ago7 hr 1 hour ago, Ace Nova said:Although the offense was never great - they were doing "enough” to win games - they were beating the better teams on the schedule - even though many of the wins "looked ugly” they were still wins. Then the AJ drama played out - they decided to start going to him on a regular basis - and the losses began to Pyle up.This is what happens when you put one player above the team. They got a lot of luck in some of those early / mid-season wins. Blocked FGs, punts, opposing QBs throwing boneheaded red zone INTs, D holding teams to under 10 points or making multiple game-ending stops. It wasn’t a sustainable way of winning for a team with SB ambitions. AJ didn't go about it in the right / best way but his point was 110% correct that if they don’t improve on O, they won’t win in the playoffs. And that is exactly what happened because they never could sort out their offensive issues.
