6 hours ago6 hr The Eagles defense yesterday looked very similar to the 2025 Eagles offense. They had stretches of the game where they were locked in and looked great. You could even argue they were dominating in that stretch. But the first 49ers drive was the worst the D looked on an opening drive all year. The 4th quarter Purdy was carving them up and moving the ball at will. The pass rush reverted to what it looked like when Uche was the sack leader. Overall, it was a bad performance. I'm not going to assign blame % as we all know the offense is clearly #1, but the Defense had it's hand in losing the game yesterday. It's a shame because the D carried them to the WC round but they had an inconsistent game at the worst time.

6 hours ago6 hr The one obvious fact is Shanahan coached circles around everyone yesterday. I mean if a scrub WR like Robinson can go and be successful against a top D like ours and we with two top wideouts could.not do anything against a below average D. Its just embarassing.

The defense was good and when we needed a turnover they got them. The problem was the offenses inability to capitalize off those turnovers. Q got 2 Ints and the offense got 3 points from that, which was pathetic. Not to mention the 3 and outs they caused which lead to our offense just matching that energy with their own against a bad whiners defense with backups/no names.

It always seemed much more the players on D didn't like Vic. It seems likely that McDaniel being a laid back, less intense coach inadvertently caused a riff on the defense side since Vic is pretty much the opposite. If he were to be the HC again, I think that would be a problem to discuss. But as an OC, I don't see why there would be any issues with Vic or players.

I wouldn't overreact to it. They definitely need a CB2. Big low key need for them this offseason. Will need a good Edge if Phillips leaves. Other than that, I'm fine with the defense. Will need a safety too if Blankenship leaves, but you can find safeties. Most of the big work needs to be on offense.
6 hours ago6 hr I wish there was a way that I could buy access for everyone on the board to watch exactly one football game, because I have some really, really terrible news.Something highly questionable is going on in that locker room. You know, Shady said something the other day about hearing that maybe Jalen can't run certain things, and I didn't know whether or not to believe him. So I did what I thought was maybe the best thing that I could do: I went and watched a game from 2021 - specifically the infamous week 3 vs Cowboys game. Reasoning:Because it's the first year, and they didn't have quality tape on Hurts, it should be before the Eagles could tailor much to him. It's the year that Sirianni started off as play caller, and hadn't really ceded much power yet, so it's the purest version of the scheme.Jalen didn't have any power at all yet, and so he has less influence on the plays.Because I'm watching before Sirianni even ceded play-calling, and because he started the year as the offensive head, it should be more things Sirianni wanted and picked too.I have some awful news. The offense doesn't even RESEMBLE itself. There were WAY more concepts. In the first half of that game especially, it felt like they ran crossing routes of some kind every other play or every three plays. There were lots of in-breaking routes too, like in-breaking slants, stuff like that. There's a little bit of stuff with questionable concepts for about 2 drives in the third quarter, but I see several different formations, including some really interesting ones, screens (they weren't the best at them that year), crossing routes, levels concepts, sail concepts, crossing, filling space...What the actual F happened to the passing offense? Sirianni certainly couldn't call a decent game, but because he passed so much, it puts all of the concepts on display, and it looks like a totally different offense.I'll be honest. There's been a lot of smoke over the years about this, Jalen maybe not being so good with certain things but...Yeah. Something isn't right in that building. Not sure what it is, but I think they're catering to their players too much. Yikes.

6 hours ago6 hr The problem isn’t that Sirriani is a CEO head coach. The problem is the O scheme hasn’t worked for passing in years. It’s time for him to give up influence in the offense altogether. Businesses have CEOs. Get over it. That’s a concept that has worked. It’s not the issue

That athleticism and agility is long gone and its not because hes fat, hes always been fat, its because his knees are held together with duct tape and super glue and thats not getting better. The way dickerson is gong he'll be using a walker at 35☹️He wasnt functional this year and I dont think losing 20 pounds is gonna miraculously cure his made of saw dust knees. My knees are trash, I hurt my knee when I was 12 and hurt it 6 more times after that, I weigh 155 lbs, if i lost 20 pounds my knees would still be trash, dickersons knees are past the point where " getting in shape" is going to do little more than keep him out of a wheel chair in a few years.I found these highlights of Dickerson from a couple of years ago. He looks much heavier now. https://youtu.be/ZcJRQcV7HTk?si=f7woqsk2TnLR5Rh7

The only way they keep goeddert is if brown goes and they structure goedderts contact in a way that increases after the brown dead money lessens

It's a problem when your head coach isn't the brightest offensive mind or defensive mind in the building. Because whenever you do get those minds you'll lose one or both of them. CEO coaches either need generational GMs, coordinstors, or QBs to win consistently. We saw what become of Tomlin when he lost Roethlisberger.
