If you could go back in time would you have signed Sweat and let Baun go?

Knowing that we would draft Campbell and have Dean and Campbell going into the season. Yes I would’ve signed Sweat and let Baun go

I’m not blaming the 49ers loss on the defense at all. Defense didn’t play their best game but they definitely played well enough for us to win. However, Baun and Blankenship had pretty bad games, especially Blankenship. I like Reed and also like the relationship he has with Coop, but I also feel like he could possibly be upgraded with a talented rookie and that would give us another quality position on a rookie deal

lol the amount of times everyone keeps saying Nick is safe and there’s no way he’s getting fired

Is this some sort of reverse jinx?

There’s nothing stopping Lurie from saying F this season and fire Nick too. The contract isn’t tied to the cap. Since most contracts aren’t really public.. there’s probably a lot of coaches that get fired with years still on their contract and we just don’t know

It's not about the contract.

No.

Thanks to the Steelers fans that have now taken over as the biggest ahole fans by chanting, "Fire Tomlin" during the season. We needed a break

Fair question. He has improved his fumbling. Doesn’t turn his back to the LOS on scrambles like he used to do. Better at protecting himself and much better at throwing the ball away. Most of that was with Nuss last year.

He reverted back to turning his back quite a bit this year. Unfortunately fixing all that has made him boring and uninspiring though. Hurts is a weird case study. He’s either elite or bad. He hardly has good performances. Way too many…he didn’t turn it over or played well enough. Outside of week 1 against Dallas I’m not sure he took over another game this season.

I remember him being pretty decisive against the Cheeves

You want someone who will never be a HC, has play calling experience and will make Goodell have a stroke?

Jon Gruden needs a job.

I am kidding, for the record.

There’s people who genuinely think he would be a good hire. Thats scary.

Looking like Giants may be front runner for Harbaugh. Hopefully he doesn’t take Monken there with him. Lurie needs to act fast.

I came in hoping I missed something. Nope sadly KP still has a job. I have no clue how though.

Due diligence by howie and lurie. They have to finish exit interviews and make decisions deeper past the OC level too.

Donovan been drinking?

Yes, for 20 years.

He drank so much as a player that he grew fat rings every year like he was a tree.

I listed to ESPN radio after 28-3 and he said that Brady should retire. McNabb is the only person even remotely as stupid as Patullo.

At this point if Monken wants to work with Harbaugh and the feeling is mutual then he will.

He was likable as a player. An absolute **** who plays victim most times post retirement.

Maybe. Honestly every week felt like a ‘flush the turd’ brain dump and hope for better the next to me.

I don’t understand the infatuation with monken. He’s whatever

Man. It hurts when you see all these receivers make great catches in the playoffs and then we had ours :(

Was successful in college and turned a bleh Ravens offense into the best offense in football

Would be significantly better that KP. But that’s not saying much

I came across this gem

"Hurts even had two games this season in which he failed to complete a pass in the second half"

Perfect summary of how bad our passing game / O has gotten......Bills game is one, which was the other one?

His offense would require hurts to start running again and he don’t run anymore.

Didn’t they want to fire him this year?

Bucs.

I said the same thing earlier today. You know how inept and incompetent as offense you have to be to go an entire half without completing a pass. Like even a simple throw it behind the line of scrimmage. Let the guy catch it and run forward. The eagle managed to do it twice in the same season. The Fing Jets for as awful as they were didn’t go an entire half without completing a pass. There are some offense that have nothing that were nearly as bad for a half like that.

Fans were upset with his usage of Henry. Particularly late in games like NE. Offense found ways to move the ball. However their offense also found was to turn it over and blow big leads late in games

Technically you would have Campbell and Trotter Jr going into the season
