I like stroud and still believe he can be great. However he has regressed since his rookie season. There’s other factors but really he’s not been nearly as good since then

I live in Houston and my wife's family are all Texans fans. They don't like him a lot. They say he cannot read a blitz. Gets happy feet and is not reliable. If they did not have a stellar D they probably would have won 4 games. Very similar to the Eagles in that regard.

And just in case you were wondering. The Eagles had a crap D in 2023 (30 26) and Hurts won 11 so the comparison is asinine.

Unlike Burrow 2024, Hurts actually won the shootouts.

The D was 18 10 in 2021 and they won 9 with rookie DeVonta, Quez, and Raegor.

They give you a lot of leeway if you turn your head back to look for the ball. You are allowed put a hand on the receiver in those cases to "feel" where they are, you just can't apply enough force to significantly impact their movement. Same thing when covering a dig or crosser, the off hand can hook the receiver around the torso or hip, it just can't turn the receiver.
