That was back in the Spring of 2020, right? I remember there was another episode, where everybody jumped ship because the Eagles switched to a crappy platform but then switched back iirc.

They covered all the hosting, upgrades etc with an Eagles employee who oversaw it all and picked some members from the community to be moderators. Anyway, back in 2016? the NFL started to redesign all team websites to basically be uniform and they shut down the original EMB pushing everyone to go to Reddit. Reddit sucks so there was a lot that didn't want to go. One of the users @VaBeach_Eagle took it upon himself to recreate a new website using the same skins/designs and also was able to import some data from the original website over to here. We had a gofundme for people to donate to cover startup costs and ongoing maintenance. VA also set up some affiliated partners like fanatics so that whenever something is purchased using the link, a small proceed goes to continue covering the hosting costs.

Eagles still 2.5 point underdogs on Monday. Odd.

I think the most likely scenario for Jaire Alexander is he comes here doesn't do much or plays and sucks. But at only 28 I don't think it's impossible he could end up being the guy at CB2 headed into the playoffs. Curious to see who starts at CB Monday.

To add to the story, it was during the COVID lockdowns. We pointed out that at a time when people are more isolated, why shut down a very active online community? There used to be a LOT more people posting, and a lot of them couldn't find this new board. There would be a lot of new topics, Around the NFL had fans from other teams a lot. For example the "I Want The Eagles To Get" section used to have a lot of info on college players coming into the draft. Since I don't follow college, it was helpful to read what fellow Eagles fans thought about a player and if they're a good fit for our team. Now there's not much activity there.

This is a very important "Tiebreaker" game for standing purposes. The Eagles are coming back healthy with more ammo. I like our chances on Monday night. With the Packers having a Tie the chances the tiebreaker becomes relevant vs them is quite low. Winning and being 1.5 up on them would certainly look better.

Berman is saying he doesn't think we've heard the last of Howie's pursuit of Garrett and it'll linger into the offseason. I'd rather not do it, I don't want to trade multiple firsts for 30+ year olds, I just think it's bad business, even guys as amazing as Garrett.

We had a lot more member from other teams posting on the old board. ATNFL was very active. Even TATE was more active. Everything wasn't strictly in the blog thread

Hope it stays that way. Not that they need extra motivation but u feel like we thrived in situations like this. Like when we faced the commanders the third time. Some guys said they saw them celebrating after their win in DC. I’m sure they’ll be like we beat this team twice last year and have something to say after the game if we win

By end of the year, they'll see how Hunt and Nolan Smith performed, how Phillips fit in. If those 3 are solid enough and Phillips remains with the team, then you just draft another Edge for the rotation on a rookie deal.

Jordan Love is a top 5 QB unlike Hurts who needs AJ Brown and Saquon.

I never want to see another game like that Giants loss again. You can't win every game, but I'd rather a battle of effort and a loss where the other team it was just their day. This team healthy after the bye, better stay focused and limit mistakes and keep that killer mindset all the way through the Super Bowl.

Wouldn’t be that surprising. I don’t think that rumor just came out of nowhere. And they’ve been linked to him and wanting him for a while now. This feels like the second consecutive season that rumor got put out there.

I kinda also think the eagles have the assets to match up with the Browns. Hypothetically, if the Browns like Tanner McKee (wouldn’t be shocked if they were intrigued), that is a nice trade chip going to them as they don’t have a franchise quarterback. If they believe McKee can be a competent starting Qb on a rookie deal (albeit last year of it) that’s something a lot of other teams don’t have to give up and still have their franchise/starting Qb. Plus, because the eagles roster is so good as it is I could see howie swinging for a trade like that. Give away multiple firsts but still have enough draft capital to add young talent to make the team better.

If McKee were part of any deal, the Browns would have to give him an extension. No way you trade real assets for a guy and don't lock him up.

Unless you are the Cowboys. It's bananas that real NFL "reporters" keep saying them have QW under contract for 2 years and don't mention he has basically no guaranteed money left.

I’m assuming if they dealt for him they’d probably give him a small extension like an extra year and bump up his 2026 salary as part of the deal. That way if he plays well in 2026 they can set up a long extension after the season. then again the browns do stupid things too so nothing would surprise me with them. Like their fiasco with Watson’s contract and Judkins not getting a rookie contract done going into the start of the season
