There's some precedence for QBs playing with broken non-throwing hands. Not sure if the timeline post-surgery is ultra aggressive compared to previous cases, but with RPO mesh style handoffs, they can limit the risk since those utilize both hands.

Yea. My one take away from Hard Knocks was his use of MS Paint and circling the Bears logo while putting X’s on everything around it and telling the team to focus on the Bears
