Yeah Hurts was 27/38 with 374 yards and 4 touchdowns in that Super Bowl. And we also lost on a horse ish DPI call.

Jalen Hurts is a full tier above Josh Allen when it comes to being clutch and not choking

If that were true, we would still be alive in the playoffs this year. Hurts showed 0 clutch this year.

They are crying hard about the refs on that INT in X.

As much as people cry here and they do constantly about Hurts & Sirriani we don't really get overly hung up on bad calls typically. We do in the moment for sure but it's a multi-day theme typically. Or maybe I'm giving us too much credit :)

No crutch, no clutch.

I don't want to drift into a Hurts debate. I'll just add that between the WRs and the last defensive drive the entire team showed very little clutch this year including Hurts

If Bain falls because of lack of armlength and agility testing, that’s fine by me - he’s a real bully and hand/glove replacement for BG. Do we need a BG in this scheme? I think so, as we brought in ZS last season. Is Mesidor (sp?) better, perhaps, he’s also turning 25.

McShay said the talk is about Mesidor, also the Texas tech guy is the best pure pass rusher, so some teams will have them #1. And then R Mason Thomas is really well liked.

Said he was told the sack production of Bain is going to carry over (meaning lack of) and he's not going to be a double digit sack guy every year.

Now to your point of needing a Graham, Paschal is a free agent this year. I have no idea how he has been in the NFL but I LOVED him in his draft class because of how well he controlled the LOS and played the run.

They are 2 totally different QBs. I'd have a heart attack if Josh Allen was the Eagles QB. He's a faster, more mobile Brett Favre kind of QB. He seems to be so careless with the ball but just makes plays.

Wasn't trying to start an argument of who I want, but I will say, as good as those numbers were in the SB, as bad as the PI call was, the fumble/TD was a 14 point swing. The Eagles were on their way to rolling the Chief and that swung the momentum. I really think if the Eagles score on that drive, it's a blowout.

Just pointing out how annoying the "if Jalen" posts are.

Hope those fans were still there at the end to clap them off 😄

They call themselves the "Faithful" and they are beyond annoying...always claiming the moral high horse when it comes to Eagle fans. "Those people are animals"...etc

Truth be told..they are thugs and dirt bags...the fans are not people from San Fran and the Palo Alto/Stanford crowd. They are from the gang infested areas of East San Jose and the East Bay Area. In the late 70's and early 80's their stadium never sold out...there were no "Faithful".

Around 2015, the Niner thuggery really took over in the South Bay. Women were being raped and assaulted at Niner parties by Niners. Incidents of players shooting off automatic weapons. There were a few grand jury investigations in to the violent behavior of Niners and their cozy relationship with the San Jose police department. Ray MacDonald sexually assaulted an inebriated woman at a party and his first phone call was to an off duty San Jose police officer who just happened to be at the party an hour before. Dana Stubblefield raped another drugged an inebriated woman at another party. He was convicted and sentenced but recently was released because his high power attorneys were able to convince a judge that the women's testimony could be dismissed because she was too developmentally disabled to be a competent witness. My step father was on one of these grand juries so I have good knowledge about all of this.

Due to some preliminary findings, the SJPD demanded that all policers have no affiliations with the Niners and could no longer work for them in off duty capacities. It was not explicit but they got rid of Harbaugh because he was directly promoting this level of gang behavior. This was all kept mostly out of the press etc

And so....I went to the Niner message board and called out all the behavior and questioned the morality of the "Faithful" and got myself banned pretty quickly there...lol This stuff went down during the beginning of the "me too" movement...yet the "Faithful" especially the women looked right past it. A large percentage of these loud mouthed moral crusaders are some who have ignored all the violence on women ....I have zero respect for these people....

I am about to leave for a large meeting where there will a large majority of these fools...just yesterday completely decked out in their "Bang Bang" gear and hooting and hollering...I am going to wearing my knowing grin today today...today is going to be a good day

4yrs already, yup, Josh Paschal is that guy - not sure how much a dirty work jobber would make.

I guess he’s been banged up at DET (like everybody on that defense), but coming off a back injury that kept him out this year. Maybe worth a prove it deal to see if he can stay healthy… (I like mold in any case draft-wise).

Yeah but the comment that I responded towas specifically about Hurts.

afan just made a post about our offense not really having elite talent this year. I want to argue that they do because it's the same guys as last year. But, they didn't put it on the field this year. So there's no argument.

Hurts had exactly 1 good second half this year. We had to come from behind to beat the Rams. Other than that all season long he laid an egg and put every single game on the defense. Barely scrambled for any drive extending plays. Never tuned it up for the playoff game. It can't really be argued that he is clutch anymore. He didn't put it on the field.

I think of clutch as being better than baseline in big moments and choking as worse than baseline. In general, IMO, Hurts absolutely qualifies as a clutch qb.

In 2025, not as much. No real choke, it’s just that he had a lousy baseline all year and never really deviated from it.

This board isn't being very clutch right now. Keeps hanging

Not sure Hurts has had a 38 pass game that didn’t go badly for him with that many yards ever since. That was 3 years ago.

This is exactly why the "if Hurts did this" crowd exists. He has had several 38+ pass attempts ganes and I think only the Chargers game this year was as poor as Josh Allen performed last night

His track record in the clutch speaks for itself, as do the records of the "pure, ideal QBs" like Herbert and Allen.

Somehow these guys who elevate the entire offense never actually elevate anyone when it matters most.

That could be true. I don't think they were going to run and hide in that SB with the way Gannon got pantsed in the 2nd half. But that's fair, it was a disastrous play.

But you also have to credit him for bouncing back and playing really well after that play.

And we pretty much lost that game because our DBs hand grazed against the WRs jersey and totally did not affect the play. If we get the ball back with 1:30 or whatever and down 3, there was zero doubt in my mind it would have gone to OT at the very least.

And I think Josh Allen is a great, talented player. But it needs to be said, especially for ish talking Forty Whiner fans on X, that Hurts has earned his stripes and doesn't need to be dragged through the mud constantly like he is in most corners of NFL media and fandom.

Texas Tech DE David Bailey.

Again, not a draft guy by any stretch, but having seen Mesidor at WVU for a couple of seasons on some below average teams, he is legit. He would always stand out.

Not sure he's a stud in the NFL but I could see him as a solid player on a good unit

If any of you are upset about the result of SEA/SF, you just need to understand the value of good friendship.

An obscure line from an old Modest Mouse song really fits the description of me hate reading about the Niners this morning…

Well, all that icing and all that cake
I can't make it to your wedding
But I'm sure I'll be at your wake

Hurts protects the football far better than Josh Allen but he also moves the football and puts points on the board far worse.

I’m good with that. ST has been largely solid in coverage

I think Clay is a league-average coordinator. This is fine.

The biggest ST question is how we replace Jake.

This. Hopefully we draft a kicker.
