Yes but also this is the picture of complacency. It’s rare to win yeah yeah. But maybe it’s more rare to have a SB caliber roster together multiple years in a row with super stars like this and crap the bed in the wildcard at home.

This team was built to be a dynasty and whether it be the o-line, OC, coach, QB, or a diva WR we still crap the bed.

Not surprised on the sirianni almost being fired in 2023 as well as at the bye. Said before the saints and Bucs games that if the eagles lost both and didn’t play well that at 1-3 with the collapse the previous year that they could make a move. If the reporting is true, that saints win may have saved his job and the eagles season

I’d add on Zach Berman and ej smith both said it as going to be Patullo who they hired since the conference championship round and multiple beat reporters said Moore was gone around the time of the divisional round

I think it all tracks. I think they considered it after the collapse in 2023 because it ended so badly and it appeared he lost the team which is hard to reverse. And the 2-2 looked like more of the same.

But yeah that all changes when you actually win the Super Bowl and you’ve got 2 appearances. I think with the way they scored in the playoffs and the late end there was an argument for continuity. Sirriani just misjudged Patullo and in the process himself badly

I think any coach is potentially a bad season away from getting fired and I’d say if this OC hire goes south and they miss the playoffs they’d be likely to go with a new offensive minded coach

I think if this is legitimately how they feel they should fire him, because they're not going to be happy without a Shanahan or McVay type hire. And if that's the case, there's really only one way to get that because Sirianni isn't that. Do I think that's necessary? Nope, not at all. But it sounds to me like Jeff and Howie miss having an Andy Reid type around, and so do the Eagles fans, but they don't realize it yet.

They wish we had Andy Reid and post Justin Jefferson Howie together in the same building. LOL

Unfortunately for them, that's brutally hard to find. Good luck if that's what you're after, guys.

Interesting. I lived in Chicago for 12 years. Loved it. Seemed like passionate sports fans who get excited about their teams pretty much the same as most other sports fans. Certainly more passionate about their Bears than anybody in LA is about the Rams.

It's definitely our offense. No #3 receiver will thrive here. So no point in throwing premium draft assets at that position.

The coach/qb dynamic is going to be fascinating to see play out.

2024 threw the whole process off because they went and won the damn SB. But if the offense bounces back in 2026 with a new OC, that is a major indictment of Siriani (and really paints Hurts as the victim of all those who kept it together). The irony of that is that such a bounce back saves Siri’s job…but everyone knows he’s basically useless.

Siri is going to be neutered this offseason. This offense goes as far as Hurts and the new OC will take it. If the offense looks similarly pedestrian and congested with the new power structure, that’s a major indictment of Hurts and how he limits coaches. The irony of that is that Siri probably gets fired and they bring in a new HC to work with Hurts as a lame duck qb in 2027 while looking for a qb of the future.

Based on hurts contract he was always most likely here through at least 2027. He gets $22 mil guaranteed for 2027 on the 3rd day of the 2026 league year. The way his contract is set up the most likely and earliest out was at the conclusion of 2027. Tbh I’m sure the eagles wouldve loved for the offense to look great and him play like he did in 2022 so could give him an extension to try to help maneuver the cap. I don’t think they do anything with his contract until see how 2026 plays out.

Having to wait until early February to start the interview process for an OC is fairly crippling. Patullo was the pass game coordinator and a guy the Super Bowl-winning coach trusted and vouched for. While disappointing that they didn’t cast a wider net just to get ideas, Patullo made all the sense in the world at the time.

We’re going to see guys like Pierce and Doubs command $20M a year on the open market. If a WR is there at 23, it’s better to be a year too early than too late.

I suspect this draft will be some order of WR, OL, TE in the top three rounds.
