You're right about Vic having all this talent.On the other side of the coin, Jim Johnson's defenses were notoriuosly weak against the run. And resulted in no super bowls. Fans spent a good bit of time during his tenure here wishing we would change to a 3-4 defense.

Buffalo fans aren't all thrilled with him. I think the Eagles will be patient letting it play out. The top guys aren't going to commit to OC this week and guys like Jim Bob Cooter will always be there. The wild card would be a Zac Robinson who could get scooped up by a new coach to be OC

Apparently a lot of these guys interviewing are because of shared agents etc
January 19Jan 19 Some meandering thoughts on the OC job…There are just too many HC openings for me to get excited about McDaniel. This cycle has a lot of meh candidates with plenty of question marks, so a team should just hire him as HC and make sure he has some kind of assistant HC who is a culture setter.Even Daboll might get some steam in Buffalo only because he’s a local guy. Kingsbury has gotten no real traction in Philly and that probably makes sense being that he previously interviewed so they know him well enough. We’ve really only interviewed the unexciting retreads, so maybe there’s some credence to the idea that the top guys aren’t exactly clamoring to take this job. It sure feels like we should be able to upgrade OC fairly easily despite all that.

All of a sudden Brady seems like a real possibility

Maybe he just wants familiarity — Tampa where he’s coached before, or under Harbaugh — if he doesn’t land a HC job.
